Tracing The Journey

Sitting in the balcony under the Shinning stars,

She was thinking about her scars.

Only 1 day was left for the new year to come,

And after realizing it she rubbed her temple with the thumb.

Sitting with an ice cream tub in her hand,

She went into her Dreamland.

She remembered she was born at the beginning of the decade,

And now the decade was about to fade.

The year 2019 was full of ups and downs,

Some moments made her smile while some made her frown.

She left her school and best friends,

And today she can meet some of them on weekends.

Then she started a new journey of success to the college,

And today she felt like her teachers should be acknowledged.

How difficult it was for her to start a new life without her best friend,

But she did and was blessed with a group of new friends.

The college made her life so beautiful,

Her each breath felt musical.

The good moments always topped the list,

And the bad moments got erased by a twist.

The year bought her A lot of ups and downs,

Some moments made her smile and some made her frown.

Today she is ready to say goodbye to this year,

And she is ready to welcome the new year.
