Lorikeet - Unrequited Love
Lorikeet - Unrequited Love
Besides the gushing water,
I was lying, cold and oblivious,
Numbness all around,
And for everyone I was mysterious.
An angelic figure perched on a nearby pine tree
Technicolor spectrum or a rainbow hue
Wearing almost every color,
Be it pink or green or blue.
Majestic flight,
A beautiful sight
Wild enough,
Trust me, not a bluff
Bright shiny feathers,
Inspiration for others
Eyes like a pearl,
Surely out of the world
The pride it carried
None less than a fairy.
Munificent she was,
Just li
ke a Santa Claus
Embodiment of love and compassion,
Which never goes out of fashion
Taught me to spread my wings
Completely ignorant of the motivation she brings
Sweet melodious voice,
Wholly, my only choice.
Few moments is all it took,
for her to read me like an open book
when no one else was even near my vicinity
And in those few moments, she gave me a little infinity
Then she took a flight again
To start a new journey.
Maybe to a new place
For her, which is more worthy.
After months, I sit beside the same river again,
I can feel the warmth and tranquil,
And reminiscing the past
For which I am very grateful!
