A Feeling

Feeling too much is a crime

Cause in that one thing you'll invest all your time

And when you try to find out what went wrong

Maybe your feelings were just too strong.

Trapped inside the rooms of these feelings

Maybe you weren't supposed to expect anything.

And just stare at the colors creeping down the wall

As you sit by the fire you lit to keep you warm.

Sometimes you might go mad and bang on the doors

As your screams echo through the floor

And through the keyhole, you might peep and see

The jailer prancing about with the keys.

The fire will soon start to grow weak

And slowly you'll go into darkness's grip.

In that flickering light, you'll

See, the void getting bigger which you tried so hard to fill.
