Rediscovering Love

Far in the horizon, the sun is about to set,

Staring intently at it, she pondered over her fate.

Heart-broken shattered to pieces, she writhed in pain,

As the sun showered its last rays on her through the window-pane.

Tears overflowed; she tried to hold back but in vain,

As the sun finally met the horizon.

Engulfed with darkness, she desperately searched for light,

Blinded by pain and sorrow, the moon failed to catch her sight.

Memories flooded in, even more, they made her grieve,

Hoping for the last time, her love, she could relive.

She was weeping bitterly, her heart heavy and sore,

Suddenly she felt there was someone whose presence she was completely unaware of before.

It placed its hand on hers and took her for a ride,

To a world of fantasy, pain and sorrow have been put aside.

It wiped her tears away and made her smile,

It seemed to her so real, not someone trying to beguile.

It took her through the wonders of night and left her craving for more and more,

She realized she had dreams to chase, a long life still left unexplored.

The darkness that strangled her a moment ago now filled her with wonder,

What a sight it was! Full of splendour!

The stars filled her with vigour, the moon helped her to revive,

Enriched with life once again, she no longer found it hard to survive.

The moon resembled a silver ball, amidst the starry net been woven,

Beauty with its wings spread wide had turned it into heaven.

The night seemed to have cast a spell on her, a lot was still left unseen,

It was a memorable night, more beautiful than it had ever been.

Far in the horizon, the sun is about to rise,

She is in love all over again, suddenly she realized.

This time she had faith, her heart would never break,

Come what may, her love would always remain hers.

She would never be alone again; her love was secure and safe,

Because this time she has fallen in love with none but herself!
