My Moon

My Moon

And when the night sky signals,

The dawn of the moon,

In it's full glory, I shall see you,

Nestled in the salty sea breeze,

Lost deep in your thoughts,

Moonlight settling on your face,

Enhancing its pale beauty.

I shall see you lost,

Deep in your thoughts, wandering,

Far away, in the land of a new full moon,

Each day.

And there, you shall have,

A new moonlight each night,

Ameliorating the twinkle in your eyes.

I shall see you in that land, one day,

I hope, for, in this land,

In this place, in this mortal world,

You are way beyond, what I may perhaps,

Ever have, ever possess, ever secure.

For you are in yourself, a rare possession,

The moon seems to boast of,

And it's very apparent from the way,

It showers you with its silvery dust,

Each night, and even while, some days,

Its presence is shunned by the sky,

It endears you with, a faint glow in the sky.

And that is why, I know, I shall see you,

In those lands, where you shall have,

A bright moon, each day, a full one,

As your companion.

For, this world has chosen to disregard,

A common mortal like me,

But, that far away land, the land of the full moons,

That world has accepted me,

For my incandescent love for you.

And for that, I shall be forever,

Indebted to the moon, and to you,

My moon.
