Agony
Agony
And she felt that agony deep within - as though
It had always meant to pierce her soul.
Coerce her very existence into a frenzy of tumultuous thoughts,
Of all that could not be said and perhaps, could never dared to be said.
Of all that could be thought of, yet be preserved and buried deep within -
Within the frozen heart which knew no outlet, but
Perhaps this is why she found agony so enticing, so very enticing -
It was meant to be for her and for her alone, it knew no other being than her,
No other mind to vanquish than hers and she was as glad
To give in to its clutches. At least, that was what
Solely belonged to her and her alone. And even though
The anguish was too much to bear, far too much -
She cherished that pain, reveled in it, for that was for her -
Her only lifetime company.
