Pages of Survival

Mistakes scatter across these pages—

errors left behind in the rush of escape.

My diary holds no perfect grammar,

no polished words,

just raw feelings scribbled in haste,

sentiments written wrong,

lines that make no sense.

The cover is worn now,

its threads fraying,

struggling to hold together the crumbling,

tear-streaked pages.

This book wasn’t always like this.

Once, it was new,

its pages are fresh,

filled with innocent hopes.

Each letter bloomed like jasmine,

its fragrance reminding me of a home I lost.

I pressed peacock feathers between the pages,

for someone I once loved—

a love unspoken,

a memory kept safe even now,

like a secret never shared.

There are blank spaces too,

where I couldn’t bring myself to write—

where the weight of my silence

was heavier than my words.

These pages,

these scars,

carry stories I never told,

dates I can’t forget,

moments that changed everything.

But don’t think I’m without hope.

Even in these broken lines,

you’ll find beauty,

like the wildness of nature,

the resilience of a tree

that refuses to fall.

My words have rhythm,

a melody born from survival,

and if you listen closely,

you’ll hear the music of my journey,

the truth in the errors,

the honesty in my chaos.

Each page shows my true self—

unpolished,

unafraid,

and still standing.
