Kiss Of A Fairy
Kiss Of A Fairy
She rained on him,
Like a cold drizzle,
On a hot summer day!
He wanted to see her again,
Come what may!
And the wait began,
As days turned to months,
And months to years!
The rain seemed like a distant dream,
Even the clouds had hardly any steam.
But he was not one to lose heart,
He was certain she wasn't a mere flirt!
The feelings had not been forgotten,
The hopes were fresh, not rotten!
How could he forget the soft rose petals,
Pressed on him for seconds,
Before letting go!
A feeble sigh is all he could let out,
As in spite of all her beautiful memories,
He started suffering from self-doubt!
Asking himself, "What if it was just a tease!"
But there was no answer disclosed!
She was gone and the door was closed.
He glanced inside himself again and oh!
Was that a familiar giggle moments ago?
"Where are you searching for me, dear?
I am here, inside your heart, right here!
Don't go looking for me everywhere!
This world was not for me, I swear!
I have flown away into distant clouds.
I am an angel now, away from the crowd.
But whenever you look for me here,
I swear you will find me here, very near!
So, sweetie, don't you worry,
I'll always be yours, even as a fairy!"
