Bend The Trend

Some people wait for years

And some, not even hours

Patience is a virtue, my friend

Although it's different, this current trend

Everyone is in hurry, it seems

Emotions are always extreme

Truth be told, it's the pain that acts

None of us knows each other's facts

Often assuming the worst, fact or not

Whether it's friendship or tying the knot

For me, I take a day at a time

Friendship is paramount, importance prime

Expectations are minimal, affirmations more

As my pain heals, I continue to explore.
