Diwali

It augured well with the family,

'twas the time to clean...

the mind of jealousy,

the body of impure and adulterated food,

the family of narrow-mindedness,

the home of cobwebs,

then one realized...

the cobwebs were in the mind, in the heart, in the thought process;

A family meeting set the agenda,

a promise was made...

to the self...

to try every moment of the day

and resolve to light up our space...

to smile together and feel together 

then celebrate in the true sense this festival of Diwali
