Milky

He wasn't well,

They called for an ambulance,

Off he went but forcefully;

Upon reaching the hospital,

they opened the ambulance door,

That was enough;

Out ran Milky, the speed of an agile cheetah;

They called up the family and told them about the incident.

The family was distraught.

They went on a search....to places unknown....

the lanes, the highway roads, the markets, the hotel doors, the gym entrance...

Three days but no breakthrough.

Some cried, some were desolate, and some accepted defeat.

That Sunday,

A beautiful bark woke up everyone.

Milky had navigated thirteen kilometers of fear, strays, and traffic,

and,

reached home.

Milky was the society dog...

Much loved and much cared for.
