A Dream Date
A Dream Date
Many a times I have wondered,
How will it be
If were to date my pragmatic spouse,
After my death?
Sitting on my gilded perch
In the heavens above,
Surely, I can let my imagination
Run riot at last and give him a ride of his life?
Practical and logical he was all throughout our lives,
With not a single romantic trace in sight.
Slowly the passion in me too died,
Reason and wisdom pillared the weight of our union, domestic or otherwise.
Though years of matrimony did run smooth,
But charming weekends were very far and few;
Try as he might, he never could envision
A beautiful rendezvous with just us two.
But now with the powers from above bestowed on me
Shake and tweak I will his vegetating romantic streak,
With chilled wine and chocolates will he woo me
On a moon lit night along the misty creak.
A date that I yearned for all my life
Is hatching slowly to my intense rapture,
Sitting on the white tufts of clouds, I am now free to
Dream of a dream date with my dream catcher!
