The radio is humming your

Favourite song

Its voice pressed under

Our clashing throats

You have stopped singing along lately

Your tune is a broken heart

Speaking of differences

Our similarities couldn't tolerate

You take your belongings

[not me this time]

You leave.

The radio has been numb

Since a few days

Your voice too

Many concealed thoughts later

You smile for one last time

Before banging against

The walls

I feel my trust shaking

And dreams falling apart

Nightmares screaming inside my ears

Till they bleed with reality

I press you tight against my chest

You ask if love was everything

I had for you

I ask if love was anything

You had for me

Guilt makes people tender

Heartbreak makes people regret

Reality makes people doubt

So experiencing all of it through my eyes

You leave.

The radio is off today

You and I

Are busy making our own song

Under the wrinkled sheets

Your breath collapses

In mine

While we leave marks

Of our destiny on each other

Stars heard the moans

Melted away to darkness

And for a second

You held my hand tightly

Looked at me with trembling eyes

As if you wanted this night to pause

You ask when it is called the right one

Never until it stays I tell

As light peeps through

The glass pane

Your tears shine in my eyes

And before they drown us in our doubts

You leave.

The radio plays a song about

Lovers that leave

I write a poem about

Lovers that stay

For I could read your face

So I read you my poem

Half written

Half lied

"I have left some words

In between

For you to fit inside

And make my words a poem"

For I'm not yet ready to

Say those words

So after all the joys, you inhaled

With a lying poem

You leave.

The radio in the cafe is

Humming a song I'm unaware of

I see you peeping into

My diary and smiling

You tell me that how words

Are solely responsible for

Every doubt inside the hearts

While unknowingly we take a sip

From the same cup

Our thoughts combine

Under the tune of your favorite song

You scribble some digits

You take your belongings

[my heart too]

And with the promise of a together

You leave.
