Unusual Love

 Rohan wants to introduce Nikki to his parents. But he is afraid of his father's furious face. He had already made a lot of plans to set up an informal meeting of Nikki and his parents. But he could never make it up. 

Actually this is not Rohan's story. It's mine. Story about my confusion...Am on the way to Rohan's home now.

Let me introduce myself... I Am Naina, his childhood friend. We both studied in the same school and now are studying in the same engineering college.

Rohan dragged me in his problem. He wants me to help him in introducing his Nikki to his parents. He tells that as his parents adore me a lot they will not reject my words. I never met his Nikki. What all I know was they met for the first time at a cafeteria inside the Oberon Mall and in a short time they became friends. Just now he has revealed that he is madly in love with Nikki and he can't live without Nikki. He also told he goes to Nikki's apartment time to time and Nikki is staying alone there. 

"Naina please help me.. you are my bestie right?" He started nagging me and I promised him that I will take care of it.

"We will catch up over a coffee sometime tomorrow evening. I will invite Nikki also." Rohan seemed excited.

Next day morning I met Rohan's mother on the way to temple and I decided to give her a hint about Rohan's matter.

"Hi Auntyji.... It's been a while seeing you. So glad to see you like this"

"Oh, Naina... How are you dear... You won't believe Beta, today, before I came to temple , me and Rohan's father talked about you." 

"Really...? what was about...I also want to share you something..." Naina smiled

"Just simply... you haven't come there for the past couple of days... Moreover, what you were going to share..?"

"Related to Rohan. actually he wants to talk to you about that. But some hesitation. He likes someone and needs your approval. I...."

Before Naina could complete her talk Rohan's mother hugged her. She seemed very happy and excited.

"We have been discussing about this for past few months. Me and his father were always curious about his future plans. Anyway am so happy about this."

"So, aunty, you already knew about this..? Rohan was simply afraid of his own shadow ! I laughed. 

"I think I need to head out... we have a morning lecture. Will see you at eve." 

When I reached Rohan's home so many delicious dishes were on the table waiting for me. Whenever I go there she makes nice desserts for me. But that day many items were seen. I asked his parents what was so special? Rohan's father told me that they are very happy and going to discuss about his son's marriage. They seemed very excited.

"It's so nice of you that you are supporting him like this. without even enquiring about the bride... He was hesitating to talk you about this"

"As we know her this much close no need to enquire about the family and all. We only need her.nothing else. Let him complete his MTech first. Then we can proceed this matter. If he wants to go abroad for job or something, atleast we can do the engagement." Uncle was very exhilarated.

"So, have you seen Nikki? Rohan told me that he didn't talk about...." Now I got some confusion.

"Nikki??? Who is that ? Now from where this new character came in between you two?" Rohan's mother got anxious.

Now I could connect the things. Some huge misunderstandings have happened, I suddenly told with embarrassment "You were not talking about Nikki and Rohan's affair?? I wish you were not talking about me and Rohan...." 

They both became so pale n wilted like flowers do. His mother started weeping. 

"We thought you both were in a relationship and we loved you so much and we hoped.... " Uncle discontinued.

After a 'not so long' silence I started talking. "Don't feel bad. Seeing you people like this i feel so sorry and sad. We are good friends only. Nothing more. Am not going to break the relation with you people. You are like my family. Moreover, If Rohan likes someone then we can give him a chance. Am sure she will be more apt for him. Kindly meet her and try to accept his feelings. Anyways am gonna meet her tomorrow. After that you allow her to visit you. Please don't make me feel awkward."

Uncle just nodded and looked at aunty.   "Am hungry. Let us eat something.." I tried to distract the mood

Rohan called me before I go to bed. He asked me why did I talked to his parents so early about this especially before meeting Nikki.

"Is there any problem with her? is she with any disability?" I suddenly asked like that.

Anyways you are going to meet Nikki tomorrow. Then come at 4 near Oberon mall. We will be coming to pick you up. He hanged up.

What if she is blind ? or may be dumb? what if If she has a bald head like men...? So many criteria were running through my mind. 

The awaited meeting had reached. When I was standing eagerly looking around in front of the mall one handsome guy bumped into me. He was so attractive that I suspected like am in my first sight love. He asked my name and offered me to grab some coffee with him. I don't know why but I couldn't refused his offer. I forgot about my meeting with Rohan n Nikki for a moment.

I didn't wish to take out my eyes from his face.... He ordered for 2 cappuccino without asking my likes. Then slowly he called my name and introduced himself as a a psycology student and his name is Nikhil.

I was so curious about what he is going to tell. I expected he would praise me lavishly.

"See, I know you will feel weird hearing about us. But it's true that we can't live separately. We love each other that much." He delivered it calmly.

Now I regained my consciousness. Now I am getting the points.

 "Nikki"...."Nikhil" Now it makes sense. So Nikki is Nikhil and this is why Rohan is so much afraid to disclose about it to his parents.

Now Rohan entered to the spot. He requested me not to tell him "No" in helping him. I looked at my 'first sight love guy'. He also requested me for the same.

I nodded my head without any expression on my face. Frankly speaking I couldn't hear anything what they were talking. I felt like am dumb and deaf

I was totally blank when I left the cafeteria. Now am heading towards Rohan's home. Thinking what should I tell and how they would react to it....
