In good olden days if someone was  guone from your life  there was  no way to stay connected in any other way besides letters and landline phones. Call it a blessing or otherwise no one ever goes way from your life thanks to the technology advancements.

You may not be talking but you are seeing each other on facebook timelines. You are aware that you are being watched and often use it to indirectly communicate messages and stuff.

It inflates your ego to show off that you are very happy even without and sometimes in your vulnerable moments you also post some evidence to prove that you are missing them. It creates false illusions of being with each other even when in reality you are living two different lives with no connection. Even if you wish to forget and move on the memories of long back who would have faded away with the passage of time stay evergreen and fresh. Time loses its healing touch and inspite of being liberated and free you unknowingly become a captive of your own feelings.

And to make matters worse it can also be used to hurt and emotionally disturb anyone.

My ex is known for his unpredictable behaviour. So in  the corona times I just asked him on messenger as to how he was doing and in few days he posted a post saying he is in relationship with some girl. He knew I would react and to his pleasant surprise I did. I just wrote to him whatever I felt. Funny he shared it all with that girl and his sister. Now all three posting stuff directed at me. I realised my folly but was able to gradually take a neutral stand. In a few days, he was back to his single status and the girl had a locked profile the sister being really upset.

Thereafter I touched my ears and promised to stay away from these conflicting situations. I diverted my mind and started singing songs at Starmaker.

Technology is a boon as an eye opener but if you keep your eyes closed it can be very harmful.
