The Video Call after the Unfinished Meeting

The meeting that did not take place because he did not turn up at the last moment as he has lost his phone. So I did not see the person in person. And after two days he insisted on a video call. I am old school and the idea of video call though not appealing to me I still agreed to it. For I thought I would be able to see him for the first time. So it was agreed to call for 20 seconds only.

And there it rang followed by a smiling face and he started to sing a song just lightening the mood and I could not help but smile. Though after few seconds I turned away the view off the phone away from my face.

Strangely it did not feel as if I was seeing him for the first time. He has this quality of making you feel comfortable in your own skin. And lots of praises just flow like a song.It was a nice experience. But I preferred to cut it short with a hurried goodbye to his utter dismay. He kept insisting on another call but I took a promise from him that no more video calls till he meets my parents.

Technology has brought us close like a miracle but our values in our core are the same. The choice becomes ours to go with the flow of our values or to be swept away by the currents of fast communication.I prefer to go with my own flow and I feel that's a big achievement that I am really proud of.
