The Unending Fight

As we all know, Capital's all-time favorite, The 40th edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2021 inaugurated on Sunday, November 14 at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. After a year-long gap induced by the Pandemic.

Previously people from different countries came to India with their commodities mostly from Nepal, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc. 

But this time due to the Afghanistan crisis( Taliban takeover) and also for pandemic it shows a limited representation of Afgan products by their vendors in the fair. 

Earlier there were about 40-50 vendors representing their products where this time the number decrease to 10 to 12.

It's because of the security situation. All air routes are shut, so nonavailability of direct flights from Delhi to Kabul. 

Those traders who have been able came with great difficulties described that They have to wait for over a week which previously take only 2 days via air to get dry fruits stocks. Now, as it is sent via Pakistan and then through the Wagah border by road so it takes more time. Hence, they had to pay high transporting road charge taxes. 

Due to this reason, there is seen a little price hike in Afghani products, which somehow is a little bit difficult to match our pockets. Here also traders are not able to make a profit as much as they wanted. 

In this post-pandemic situation, Where all other countries of the world are going through problems such as economic breakdown, health crisis, commodity price hike, due to pandemic and now trying to fly back again the economy to its route. 

Talibani people are fighting with both their economy as well as their freedom. 

The harsh laws of the Taliban's especially towards women to disappear from public eyes in all fields is heartbreaking. 

People with their families who had moved earlier from Kabul to Delhi are now feeling lucky. 

Meanwhile, When we are complaining about every loophole of our government, where they are not even that much fortunate to complain to someone about their problems, life, and livelihood. 

Taliban take over not also has hit their business but also completely changed their life in every aspect.
