The Moons Are Glittering In My Eyes..!

This over bridge is a newly constructed and opened one. Location is Kovai Gaanthipuram. Myself and my wife were riding on a two-wheeler on the bridge. The bridge was very lengthy. Hence, we decided to make a U turn and return back. Exactly at the same time, a small speedy vehicle from the opposite direction gave a light kiss to our vehicle. My wife fell down. There was a small split on her left paw. The blood was bubbling out. However, I escaped with a small injury. 

 

Hospital! I was alright in a few hours. For my wife’s sake I was to stay in hospital for some days. But no specific work. I had ample time. So, I started writing stories to Story Mirror. A week passed. 

 

One day I had a call from Sri Bibu Datta Routji (CEO-cum-Founder – StoryMirror). I was surprised. Because, if there is any important information to be exchanged, normally, only Vijaya Ragavan Sir will call me. But today, Datta Sir himself is calling!

 

‘Hi Sir, I am Deen here’ 

 

‘Hi Deen, a good news’ 

 

Ecstasy occupied me on hearing the news. 

 

‘Really Sir!!’

 

‘Yes’

 

‘The Grandeur Director Sankar himself spoke to you Sir!?’

 

‘Yes.. it seems he has read your “THE UNIVERSAL RAMPAGE” Science-Fantasy-Suspense-Thriller Novel from Story Mirror. He feels that if this novel is picturised on ‘Space Adventure’ genre, it will be very novel. He will be talking to you today afternoon by three O’clock. Be prepared. Keep your script with you while talking. He may ask some details.

Exactly by three I got a call. Yes it was Sankar Sir. I myself could not believe this. He appreciated my novel and asked to explain some minute inner details. Of and on, he was saying ‘Super..’, ‘Wonderful..’, ‘Oh..’!

‘I like your naming convention. The names themselves reveal ‘the character’ of the characters. The names ‘Exors’, ‘Planetans’ also aptly selected.’

‘Thank you Sir.. Sir.. a small suggestion’ I hesitantly told.

‘Please tell Deen’, he encouraged.

‘Sir, for that 12 year old boy character we must find the best child artist Sir.. You know it is one of the important characters in the..’

‘Don’t worry. Next month, a team, along with myself and you, are visiting six or seven countries to view the locations. We want to explore the locations, where a camera did not have a reach so far. At that time, we will try to find an actor to suit that boy’s character, OK’

‘OK Sir.. Sir.. you know that the hero visits many Planets in the Universe and involves himself in adventurous activities. If our Siva does that role, It would be very fitting and youthful Sir..’

‘You mean, SIVAKARTHIKEYAN! Hi Deen.. Initially I also had the same thought. He will be very apt for the character. But, there is a small twist in that! You know our ‘Arjith’?’

‘Oh.. what made you to ask like this Sir.. Everyone know that he is your Son.. And we also heard that, he may choose acting as his career soon.’

‘Correct. I feel that this story would a very good opening for him to start his acting career. In fact, just for him only, I thought of taking over this project and execute it in a very grand manner.’

‘Wonderful Sir. If it is so, I too am blessed Sir’

‘OK Deen.. I have told Story Mirror Datta Sir to send a few books to you on titles like ‘how to write screen play for space adventure movies’, ‘character creation for adventurous movies’.

There will be a lot of guidelines for our ground work for the type of project we are going to execute. You read and come out with an ‘One Line’ script and be ready to attend a meeting in my office in Chennai on 1st March 2022. I also have invited our Jayamohan Sir, Varalotti Sir, Pattukkottai Sir, Indra Soundarrajan Sir to join us in the discussion on 1st March. Also ‘Gregory’, and ‘Omaar’, the two stalwarts of Adventure Films, from Hollywood are joining us. And the Computer Graphics Specialists, who worked for ‘Bahubali’ are also are invited. So, you also be ready for the meet! OK?’

‘OK Sir..’

‘All the Best Deen’ – Sankar Sir disconnected the phone

Unbelievable! I called Datta Sir and expressed my gratitude.

‘Its all right Deen. You have a few more information. Our RajaMouli Sir referred to your ‘The Boundry of Abyss’ and took your number from me. One famous Bengali Director, who worked with SatyajitRayji, has read your poem ‘Let Death come and Embrace Me’ and your story ‘Negligence is Compassion from God’ and astonished. He asked the links for all your stories and poems in StoryMirror.

‘Sir.. I can’t believe. Is it real or dream.!!!’

‘Also, your “108 One Page Stories” is going to be published by StoryMirror, freely. ‘

‘Oh.. My God.. It cannot be real… This definitely must be a dream only Sir.. ‘

‘Yes my dear husband.. It is a dream.. it is a dream only.. Throughout sleep, you were shouting and lamenting with names such as Sankar Sir, Datta Sir, RajaMauli Sir, SpielBerg, Alfred Hitchcock. I could not sleep. OK. Today is my discharge. Settle the hospital bill and come quick’, my wife physically patted and alerted me.

‘Dream! But let that dream allow you NOT to sleep!’ – I remembered Abdulkalam Sirs powerful words.

I searched for the Cell number of Sankar sir and called him.

‘Hello.. Director Sankar hear..’ a promising tone came out from the phone!
