Preeti worked at a beauty salon as a hairdresser. Her hardworking nature as well as patience while dealing with problematic people had earned her acclaim. One day an old lady walked into the salon she was in shabby clothes and messy hair. The receptionist tried to turn her back by cautioning about the expensive procedures. The old lady was adamant and informed she had saved enough for a haircut. The chaos caused the manager to step in. The manager told the old lady the services of the salon were meant for rich people and people like her can't afford them and it's a waste of time for both of them. The old lady politely requested for one haircut to look good in her grandson's first annual day at school.

Preeti had overheard the entire conversation and came forward to give the old lady a haircut. She gestured her to take a seat and carefully observed the old lady's hair and face. Preeti meticulously cut the old lady's hair and asked her to look at the mirror. The hair cut had changed the entire look of the old lady, she too was taken aback. Now was the time to pay for the services. The old lady took out a small bag full of coins, Preeti could gather that the money was not enough for the haircut. She told the old lady that she resembled her grandmother so the haircut was free. The old lady walked happily out of the salon blessing Preeti profusely. The manager came to Preeti and rebuked her for the free haircut. Preeti smiled and took out the money from her wallet and paid the bill herself. The manager probed what she got by wasting her time and hard-earned money for someone she didn't know. Preeti put on a happy expression before replying to 'blessings and contentment'.
