The first day of summer

It was the first day of summer. Our little friend Freddy had got ready to go in his big swimming pool along with his friends, Tom, Ben, Jenny and George. He directly dressed himself and landed in friend’s Big Garage. His friend Tom and Ben had rented a house from the Landlord and had been staying there along with George while Jenny many a times lived with them in the garage or else in her apartment. When Freddy entered he directly climbed up the stairs and came down sliding through handrail and landed near George, both wearing sunglasses ready to be in the swimming pool. When Freddy asked Tom to come along and leave the boring work he was just doing, Tom replied, “Freddy……Ben, Jenny and I have a lot of work to do. We have to recycle all these waster files and paper which having been lying around here and of no use to us, to earn money enough to pay the rent of next month or to buy components for our new invention which we will be creating.” Hearing this comments Freddy replied in a sad childish tone, “Today is the first day of SUMMER. We having been waiting for so many months for this day and you are saying that can’t come today. You can do all these work afterwards or tomorrow. You have to come now to the swimming pool.” Tom sighed and said, “I know Freddy that this day is important to you, but I can’t do anything. I have to complete this stuff. I will come with you some another day.” Freddy just sighed and went out sad and full of sorrow. Ben then handed Jenny 5-6 boxes directly in her hand, saying, “If we do this work faster then we will be able to create the new invention faster. Everyone move your hand faster. We can’t even waste a second.” Then he looked at Jenny who had fallen down and sighed as she was not able to carry all these loads in one go. Tom then sighingly started to remove the files present in a box telling its name, “Loan taken, Old File, Treasure Map and……. What!!!!!! Guys I have found a treasure map in this box. I can’t believe it, that this was here. Let’s find the treasure and get richer. HOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!” Jenny, Ben and George looked surprised and yelled together, “What!!!! I can’t believe it.” Then Jenny spoke to Tom, “Tom it was lying here in this box from the time you moved in and you also did not know about it. It is going to be fun to find the treasure.” But then Ben asked, “What if only Tom keeps the treasure and not anyone of us?” After Jenny and George heard the question they along with Ben started to snatch the paper from Tom to keep it with them. Just then Freddy came in saying that he had changed his mind and wouldn’t be going to the pool and would help them. But when he saw them fighting over a Treasure Map, he said in a loud tone, “So, all of you wanted to find the treasure without me.” Hearing this they stopped fighting and Tom said, “Ok Freddy. Join us and we will find the treasure together and divide it between us.” Then all the friends locked the door and went where the red mark was given. Following it they reached the Park in which the mark was on a tree. Freddy ran towards the tree saying that he was the fastest tree climber in the gang and would come back in a moment. Tom thought that something was wrong thinking that Freddy himself would take the treasure and so, Tom too ran towards the tree to climb it followed by Ben who thought that Tom would take the treasure himself. George and Jenny didn’t know what was happening to them and also ran to climb the tree. While Jenny and George had just climbed a little bit, and then hearing a noise turned back to see who was there. They found Darren, The Carl’s nephew who was there greatest enemy. Darren was going on his regular exercise and asked Jenny, that why they were climbing a tree. Jenny hesitatingly replied, “We are just doing a climbing exercise and will just get down from the tree after they had reached the top.” Tom then continued, “We are doing it because, climbing is a good exercise. It is very fun to climb trees. Darren you too just concentrate on you exercise.” Hearing this Darren just went away murmuring something but he secretly without being noticed by Tom and his gang his behind a bush. Just then from the top Freddy yelled that he had found another map. Tom and the others came down and Freddy directly jumped down from the tree, who was caught by Tom. Tom then joined both the maps and said, “This map shows that we should go to ‘Happy Circus’ and there we might find something….” But on the other side, Darren had called his uncle telling him that Tom and his friends had found a treasure map which would lead them towards the treasure. Darren’s uncle (Carl) replied that he would come in a moment and asked Darren to follow and tell him the place where they were going, so that would come there. He followed them and reached the ‘Happy Circus’. Jenny was scared and told that it was a scary place and they should leave it immediately at which Ben replied that the circus is always closed every Monday. While walking George got a big  Candy and he took it licking on his way. While they were walking Freddy snatched the map from Tom and started running toward the roller-coaster. Tom jumped and caught Freddy but while fighting they rolled and were stuck up. Ben jumped them continued by Jenny and George also jumped. They started to shout to George not to jump but George did not listen and he too jumped. Tom then told Freddy that was out of their Treasure Map at which Freddy replied meekly, “The map is pointing towards the roller coaster and there is a map attached their on the string up there.” George also told that Freddy was correct and there was really a map up on the string. They reached the Roller Coaster but the map was very high. Tom asked Ben if he could control the Roller Coaster at which Ben replied that it was easy and he could easily control it. He clicked a button and the roller coaster came in front of them. They sat on roller coaster and as Ben clicked the forward button the roller coaster started to move. The roller coaster move up and down, left and right and after a few minutes they reached the top. Freddy tried to take the map but it did not come and his hand and Tom and Jenny sitting in the backside of Freddy and George also tried but it did not come in their hands too. This happened a several number of times but it did not come in their hand. After a lot of tries when they reached the top Freddy took the candy from George and raised his hand up which caught the map and the map sticked to the map. When they reached at the bottom and came out of the roller coaster, Tom and Freddy fell down and while Jenny and George took support of the roller coaster to stand up. They then laughed together a few moments enjoying the fun. But they did not know that they were being watched the Carl and his nephew Darren. Darren asked his uncle that they were not stealing the Treasure Map at which his uncle replied, “Let them find the treasure and Enjoy. We will just steal the treasure.” Tom and his gang were now leaving the park and then the Carl told Darren to come along with him. Tom and his friends went to many different places, from here to there, right to left and up and down. They at the last after finding and completing all the pieces of the map, they reached a campaigning forest completing their 100th step. Then Ben replied,” We have completed 100 steps. The treasure must be somewhere here, so keep your eyes wide wide wide open to see the treasure. Freddy making his eyes big said, “I am the only one who will be able to find the treasure. See my eyes are so big, just looking like that the popcorns is just about to burst.” Now the big search began. Everyone did not miss even a corner. Tom then found a bark on a tree and many arconuts lying outside arranged in a pile. He thought that this must lead to the treasure and started to throw the arconuts inside the bark, but none of the shot went in. He in anger shot the last arconut on the place above the bark, which then hit a big rock which was nearby and then directly went into the bark. Tom was excited to see the treasure but the treasure didn’t show up and he thought that this was not the place where the treasure to be hidden and he turned and kicked a big stone which hurt his leg and he crashed into George who was standing near a tree. Then they both crashed against the tree and fell down. Both were injured, but Tom wouldn’t care about the wounds. He just wanted the treasure. When his friends came near him, he loudly replied, “You all go and find the treasure. Don’t care about me and George. We both are fine. Fine the treasure now.”

George then told, “You all go and find the treasure. I am tired after all this work. I think I am going to take a nap on that tree which is to the right side of that rock.” Their search continued while George went and climbed up the tree. He was just about lay his back on the strongest branch of the tree and doze off, but before that he lost his balance and fell beside the rock which was present on the left side of the tree and unconsciously hit the rock with his hand. The rock then moved to the side and when they turned around to see what was going on, they were utterly surprised to see the treasure high up on a wooden plane which was standing with the support of 4 wooden trunk like structure.” Tom went towards the structure directly being followed by Jenny, George, Ben and Freddy. Tom and Jenny first reached the wooden plank on which the treasure was present. There were enjoying their victory until they heard a noise. Jenny told Tom that it must the FOREST SPIRIT, but then a shadow fell on them and they came to know who it was. It was none other than Carl and his nephew Darren. There were high up in a HOT AIR BALLOON. Carl then laughed at them and he said to Tom, “Tom you are always looser. Now here too you have lost. The Treasure is now mine. Hahahahaha !!!!” Hearing this Tom replied somewhat angrily, “We have found the treasure, so the treasure fully belongs to us” Hearing this, the Carl replied, “I and my nephew have now found the treasure, so we are now taking the treasure with the help of the METALLIC GRABBER. Hahahah !!! You lose again Tom and I win. Hahahah!!!” Carl then lifted up the treasure with the METTALIC GRABBER and was about to leave the place, but even before he could do it; Tom jumped from the wooden plank and directly caught the treasure. Then Jenny jumped and caught Tom and then George jumped and caught Jenny’s foot and then the same thing was done by Ben and Freddy. The Carl then shouted at them and told them to get down from his LUXURY HOT AIR BALLOON, but they didn’t listen to him and kept on hanging. They then in just a few minutes were high up and could see the whole town from there. Freddy was scared at falling from such a big height. He asked his friends to leave the treasure and let the Carl and his nephew Darren take the treasure themselves, but Tom replied angrily, “We have come so far and found the treasure and you are telling us to leave the treasure. Are you mad? I won’t leave the treasure until it is ours.” Hearing this Freddy replied, “But why do you want the treasure?? The treasure is fake. This all plans were set up by me to ENJOY THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER.” Hearing this Tom, Jenny, George and Ben were surprised. Then Tom asked, “But Freddy why did you do this and what about the treasure map??”

And then Freddy replied, “You were all cleaning that stuff and not enjoying the first day of summer, so I had put the treasure map in one of our boxes. But didn’t you enjoy this day, did you??” Hearing this Tom thought for a few seconds that had he enjoyed the day or not and then replied, “Yes we did. We really enjoyed the day.” Hearing this chatting, Carl went to see that if Tom and his other friends had fallen down or not. They hadn’t. Then Carl then called Darren and asked him in a loud and angry tone, “Darren, why haven’t our enemies fallen down. They are till now hanging. Quickly do something and get rid of them. Arghhhhh.” Hearing this Darren smiled to himself and started to shake the METTALIC GRABBER using the controls. Tom then asked Ben, “Ben, do have some scientific thing going in your mind to escape from here.” Hearing this Ben replied, “I don’t have a scientific thing going in my mind but I sure have a geographical thing going in my mind. At the count of three leave the treasure and jump from down.” Hearing this Tom replied, “Do you want KILL us. We will die if we jump down.” But then Ben replied, “Listen to me first. We won’t die. We will directly land in Freddy’s swimming pool. Ok. Now I will start the counting. ONE……. TWO…..THREEEEEEE…..” Tom and his friends jumped down and while reaching down started to do some funny things. When they were about to fall down in the pool, Freddy using all his might fell down like a cannonball and splashed everyone with water. They enjoyed there for a few hours and then reached the garage, wrapped in the towels. When they reached the garage, George spoke, “This is the best summer day I have ever enjoyed.” But just then Tom asked Freddy, “Freddy, if the treasure was fake then what was the treasure containing.” Hearing this Freddy laughed and replied, “Nothing precious about the treasure. The treasure was just containing my bees’ collection.”

On the other hand Darren spoke to his uncle Carl, “Uncle, now we can become richer than we were before. Hipeeeee.” Carl just laughed and opened the treasure box but instead of becoming happy the space was filled with cries when they saw the BEES present in the treasure box which started to sting them and no money.

THIS IS HOW TOM AND HIS FRIENDS ENJOYED THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER.
