Stand By Me - Part 28

Rithvik opened the door.

"Hey, finally we meet!!", he said smilingly.

My heart started beating faster.

I stepped into his house.

The living room was so huge, I had heard he was super-rich, his house was enough validation.

I perched myself on the edge of the trendy leather sofa in the living room and straightened the collar of the crisp white shirt I had put on that morning.

"Hey, we could go into my room", Rithvik exclaimed.

I told him I was fine in the living room.

He would have definitely felt that I was a bit aloof or maybe somewhat shy although he did not say anything.

He quickly went into the kitchen which was at one end of the hall.

He returned with a glass of water.

He mentioned that he had ordered pizza, it would arrive anytime soon.

He sat next to me, he was so close.

My heart skipped a beat, he was so handsome and that smile could kill.

"You are unwell, should not have junk food", I said hesitatingly.

"I can, since the time you are here, I am feeling well, you never told me you had that effect on people", he said.

" Shut up", I said.

He was about to hold my hand when the bell rang. It was the pizza delivery boy.
