Samaritan

"2020" in itself is a definition. A 4 digit number representing not just a year but a year of events. It was like a stage without the announcement of events - both positive and negative! 

For eg., Positive being a wholesome time with family at home for the privileged and negative being a wholesome time with family on the road for the under privileged! The range is extreme and like a lesson. It gave a chance for everyone of us to bring out the best from within. It gave rise to many Samaritans, some known and some unknown. This is an excerpt from the story of such an unknown Samaritan.

Stuck in a situation wherein the escape route is blurred makes our heart go restless. Such was a situation for a young boy who was in a deadlock as at the last moment his friends asked him to vacate the room. Lockdown made the situation worse since there was no transportation available for him to go back to his hometown. Helpless, He told about this problem to his friends and this being a conversation on the phone.. our Samaritan over heard and offered to help. Although he had no relation with the guy except for the fact that coincidentally their workplaces were same and hence he stepped forward to give it a try. He reached out to his office Safety manager (from a different location). This safety manager, a Samaritan himself reached out to another safety manager from the location of the guy-stuck-in-problem. These steps were like arrow in the dark room because this was a never-happened-before situation. But to one’s wonder the guy received a call and was provided a hotel room to stay for a day.Along with this he was provided a transport facility to his home the next day! This entire problem-help-solution just took a matter of 3 days, all because our Samaritan responded immediately and the guy could happily reach his home safely amidst the lockdown!

Such situation and such humans once again help to keep up the hope of humanity. Being a Samaritan does not mean the presence of special powers, however the situation and the response by the one gives rise to a Samaritan!
