The Chai Walk

Who knew Sunday was going to be a sunny walk In the search of hot tea? Who know I would wander about The area so crowded yet empty in the search of boiling Sweet beverage? Well, that's what it is. Started the day early around 7 am with the rushed wake-up call, followed by a hurried bath, only because leaving the house at 7.30 a.m was a compulsion - but completely forgotten about! Anyway, the confusion was settled with the homemade 'Chai'.

After all this rush, we started our 24km journey with a sweet sunlight and tickling chillness. Initially, we assumed that we were on an unknown route journey, however, as the road unfolded the 'leaves' the route was deemed a known one. And this gave my parents a hush of relief as they no more needed my Google support - they owned the situation now. We reached on time and I rushed inside with doubts and fear, well not for the situation I was into but 'coz of the doubt on how am I going to safeguard my phone - it's a new one!

Checked the floor, the room number and rushed in right on time. The room was ready and the time was ready to roar, into this room after 12 yrs did give me chills and made me conscious of every move. Phew! It lasted for 2 hrs, along with a pinch of sleep, I managed to keep my head straight up and diverted my mind with the thought of the breakfast search activity afterwards. I was very excited that I m going to walk an unknown road.. gives me an adrenaline rush.

Phone was safe , maybe because the man outside the room was quite sweet and dedicated about his duty. Now, I had this 3 hrs in hand, hunger in my stomach and adrenaline rush all over! To add cherry on top, there was a constant chatter over WhatsApp which kept me on my toes. All of a Sudden the teenage excitement had crept in from the last 2 days then. Why does this has to happen now? Look at the age? Does it matter? No! Will it matter? Yes of course? Am I able to stop it? Nope! Anyway this was in the background and my stomach directed my mind to everywhere in search of food and "chai". And finally I landed in a small place where the menu card wasn't really filled but the food definitely released enough tryptophan to calm my mind and stomach. 2.5 hrs to go… and roads kept running. I ignored the not-so-sweet sunshine and walked every road for possibility of getting a hot cup of tea. I even crossed the highway which gave me a feel of "reaching the untouched by crossing the hurdles!" I mean it was just a tea. Anyway, after the sweet hot beverage and the background sweetness in mind kept me walking, to finally reach to a place of sudden calmness.

The chai walk definitely did its magic!
