Likes And Dislikes

We grow up thinking, everyone likes us or everyone dislikes us. Either of the one. According to our mother, there is no wrong in us and if there is then she is the only right person who can rectify the same isn’t it? Then Puberty hits. The entire story changes. Now we stand at a pedestal and everyone out there is judging us (this is quite the inner feeling), yet everyone is wrong except you (including your mother). We start looking at ourselves through the eyes of others, in some cases the special someone. We get drawn to the person in such a manner that everything he or she suggests should be taken care of the priority. Their likes become your likes and their dislikes are yours. 

They said puberty hits ones but I feel, it hits every time you are drawn to someone. Somewhere you know you are overdoing yourself to fit in but they haven’t opened their arms to take you in. Ah! Why? It is frustrating at times. But you know what, you wouldn’t get an answer. Missing the moments is all you are left with then. Memories were created and now you just need to find someone to galvanise the rust.
