Rope

“Look! There’s a black rope!”

“I haven’t seen a black rope in my life.”

“Why should it be here, in the middle of the road?”

“Rope! Shoo!”

“Doesn’t it have some sense?”

One of them goes near it, and says,

“Can’t you walk by the side?”

It seems not to hear him. Seeing its audacity, one of the men suggests,

“Let’s play with it.”

Promptly another one takes the rope and hangs it around his neck.

“You look like a doctor with a stethoscope!”

“No! He is Mahadev with His snake around His neck!”

The man feels proud but soon falls down dead.

“It must be having a special charm.”

Assuming some magic to occur, the men inspect it closely. They ask for some favour. But, as they come close, one by one, they lose their lives.

Seeing the drunkards, all dead by now, the snake peacefully slithers in its own direction.
