Reminiscence

Suddenly, his whole body froze, just like a paralytic attack, he was shocked to see Riya.

While sipping water graciously, Riya initiated the conversation. She thanked Amit, for what he did for her and her family.

Amit replied, "Don’t thank me, you took away the precious gift of my life".

Amit screamed loudly, " Riya, What the hell is wrong with you? Why did you play with my emotions?"

Riya kept quiet, but her teary eyes were saying something else.

Sonia interrupted Amit, "Hey Amit, Don’t shout at her, She was trying to help you, actually, she was trying to repay your debt."

Amit asked, "What kind of debt? Sonia."

Sonia replied - "Hey Amit, each and every day she has been living with the burden that you sacrificed their love, just to save Riya’s father as he had always opposed your relationship.

When you sacrificed your love and left from her life, every day she thought about you. Even after getting married, she kept thinking about you. Her husband knows this, she asked her husband to let her help you. And thankfully, he permitted her. Amit was hearing everything patiently, his eyes were humid.

He asked Riya about her father's whereabouts? She hesitated. Sonia consoling Riya, said "Actually Amit, he died one year ago. That day and today she is still recuperating from the trauma, losing you and her father."

Amit took Riya’s hands in his hands and wiped her tears. He said "Riya, I know, there is something special between us and will always remain special throughout our life. I thank God that he gave me an opportunity to meet someone like you". Riya was feeling embarrassed, she felt like in love again.

Sonia interrupted, "Hey guys, I am here, let's go outside and meet Riya’s husband and her sweet daughter Anaya."

Riya introduced her husband to Amilt, while Amit looking at Riya, told to her husband, "You got something special friend, which no one else could get."

Sonia said, "Hey Amit this is Anaya". Amit held her in his hand, kissed and hugged her. Riya's husband asked for permission to leave, as he had to rush for office.

You know Sonia, love isn’t about living together but its only a feeling which you had for one, which makes you realize that you have to sacrifice your life for him or her.

Sometimes it is all about waiting for someone till your last breath….
