Purple Lilly

Purple Lilly

The darkened night with high raining, I stood in front of a cafe. Waiting for my fiancee for nearly 2 hours. All were rushing to reach home while, I was standing disheartened, and waiting.

In front of me was a restaurant, for biggies sure. The golden hall flourishing with several flowers who's essence had spread around the street. I thought of our relationship to be expected just like that room, perfect and loving. But it wasn't. It was always me trying to bring us together, and not him. Nor he asked me about my favourite things or likes or dislikes, neither he cared, I think. Was I doing the right thing?, has always been a question mark inside my mind.

The water droplets increased its intensity forcing me to go indoors. I ran towards that restaurant and went inside. Bunches of pink white and red roses hanged highly, "looking royal" was my thought. I went further to have a look, the flowers changed to purple lilies, which were my favourite. I loved the sight of them and suddenly, I thought someone wearing black scally cap moved near me. My heart raced, so I turned to have a look at the gentleman. As I moved, the person was on his knees, asking me,

"Forgive me for my rude behaviour, it was a test for my to be bride. But I am sorry for the emotional mess I had put upon you. ....... " I was awed by his words. I never imagined him to be so loving to me. I blushed while he said......

"Will you forgive me?......." And forwarded a pearl embedded with diamond in an oval shape, a ring whose sight made my tears flow.

"Will you marry me?.........."
