Onions, Carrots And Garlic...

Karamchand Jasoos and Byomkesh Bakshi once go to the market to buy some fresh vegetables...

On seeing fresh red carrots Karamchand Jasoos... leaps at the vegetable stall and says..."pack one Kg red carrots for me..." After buying red carrots Karamchand Jasoos takes out one big red juicy carrot and starts munching on the fresh crunchy carrots...

Seeing this... Byomkesh Bakshi calls out Karamchand Jasoos..."Arey, at least wash the carrots before you eat them...."

Karamchand Jasoos..."No need... anyways it will get into my system and get digested... and you know my system is immune and strong".

Byomkesh Bakshi ... "By the way Karamchand... why do you keep eating carrots all the time?"

Karamchand Jasoos..."Because carrots sharpen the eyesight... and a detective's eyes need to be sharp to catch culprits... and analyse clues...on the crime scene."

Byomkesh Bakshi..."I'm impressed brother..."

Karamchand Jasoos... looking at the huge bunch of onions and garlic carried by Byomkesh Bakshi... "So much of garlic and onions? What would you do with these?"

Byomkesh Bakshi.."My friend...as carrots keep the vision sharp... onions and garlic keep the ears sharp."

Karamchand Jasoos... in doubt..."How?"

Byomkesh Bakshi..."I tend to put the raw juice of onions and garlic in my ears timely... hence I can sense keenly...any slightest change in the voice of a person and catch the culprit... due to vividness in the voice of the criminal... the slightest moment in sound alerts me... because I regularly tend to put these extracts of onions and garlic in my ears..."

Karamchand... gives a disgusted look..."Raw onions and garlic extracts...in ears...aarrrgggghhh..."

Just then a pickpocketer stealthily steals...a woman's purse and hides into his jacket... The woman alarms by yelling...and in panic.. "someone's stolen my purse..!!!"

Karamchand Jasoos... immediately speeds up and catches the man hurriedly moving away...by his collar...

Man..."Hey leave me... I'll break your mouth else."

People are gathered at the scene... murmuring and whispering...

Byomkesh Bakshi.. comes up and starts asking questions..."So you will break the mouth of Karamchand... isn't it?"

The man fumbles in his tone...."Nnnooo wwhhoo are yyyouu bbbbothh...I have not stolen any purse?..."

Still held tight by his collar... Byomkesh Bakshi..."But I never mentioned any stealing of purse?"

Byomkesh Bakshi..."You are the culprit... your fumbles say the truth... your voice is trembling... because you have stolen the purse..."

Karamchand Jasoos..."Yes, I too saw his body language ...he moved hurriedly... which was not normal..."

The man hands over the purse to the woman... and she thanks both Karamchand Jasoos and Byomkesh Bakshi... for catching the guilty...then the culprit is handed out to the police who reached the spot after some time...

Byomkesh Bakshi..."So you think Karamchand Jasoos that putting the extracts of onions and garlic is ewwww and very old school don't you?"

Karamchand Jasoos..."Ok, I'm sorry... though I caught the culprit... you heard that slightest wavering... changes in his voice... which I couldn't locate... I agree all veggies have different usage ways... no qualms... We are both good at what we do... I observe the body language and you observe the sensory changes...in sound... thanks to our onions, garlic and carrots..."

Byomkesh Bakshi..."Then let's proceed to another unsolved crime mystery?"
