Mission Classmates

It was a story of man who had pure science educational background ,beside this he worked in scientific department of government of India. He had yet some gravity in literature. Whenever he got time to read and write ,he used to utilizes his spare time in composing the poem. He used to write an articles and poems for the departmental magazine regularly. He used to present his poems on occasions of national festival i.e. independence day, republic day and the functions were being arranged in honor of our great heroes like Chhatrapati Shivajee and Dr. B. R .Ambedkar in the office. Because of his typical good habit, he had a very good collection of poems in his mother tongue as well as in national and international language. When he retired from his service ,he had a plenty of time, so he sorted out all those rough writing collection.

Fortunately, his old school friends in the same city used to meet frequently as they were also retired from their job. They had thrown a light on the various things that happened in their life while talking. Some time, they recalled the events of their school time to refresh their golden memories. Then all the heroes of the events were being remembered one by one. They talked about themselves and enjoy the fun. There was an appreciable wonderful idea in their mind. It was better to say of emerging emotion from the bottom of their heart  to meet with all those school friends once more. One of the friends suggested to form the What’s up group to have communication with each other. In the beginning, they had got only few mobile numbers. They started the What’s up group with limited friends as Journey of thousand miles begins with single step. Slowly but steadily group had grown appreciably in few weeks. All the members of the group were putting their efforts for getting contacts with the school friend to bring them into the group. Initially some of the girl friends joined the group. Later these girl friends used to give some useful input to the admin over group about known friends to them. Some active members initiated their personal meetings with the other known friends, whenever they got chance. Day by day the group expanded and became wider and wider. Of course, it wasn’t a piece of cake to bring all classmates into group. Then we started collecting the bio-data of friends along with their family photos. In the beginning, few friends only responded to our move and rest of them were hesitating. Then we started on the group giving them the birthday and marriage anniversary the best wishes. It was knee jerk reaction. This trick inspired rest of the friends of the group. In this way there was mass communication among the friends. Some of the friends had also other what’s up group. Whenever they found some suitable post, video, joke etc. They started forwarding them into our group. A picture is worth a thousands words. Since there was healthy and entertainment material to readers of the group, their affinity and interest about group automatically raised. The name of our what’s up group was “ second inning racer group .“Since this group had plenty of entertainment material for the end user to consume ,their participation and activities  increased many-fold.

Three initial founder members took an initiate to proceed their master plan for gathering of all classmates at their school. They had decided to celebrate their common sixty one birthday. This type of message was posted in the group. Action speaks louder than words. Some of the friends supported the move at once. Day by day, most of friends agreed for gathering on any day in future. Some of the friends themselves put the proposal for financial contribution for arranging the function. Most of the friends appreciated the suggestions of their friends. Looking at huge positive response of group members, founder members had decided to take the help of local friends. They went to meet those local friends as their participation was paramount. Those local friends gave them very warm welcome. firstly, they interacted with each other. Recalled their old golden memories. Everybody was very joyful, happy with this abrupt moment. Then all the friends decided to meet with the principal of the school on very next day, who was unknown to most of the friends except few local friends. As planed, on next day we again gathered to meet with the school principal. When we reached at our old school, we were taken back to know so many changes and alteration in our old school. We had doubt, whether we were reached at same school or somewhere else ?. We found some original structure of building in the premises, which confirmed the existence of school with changed new face. That made us very happy. We all thanked to our school where we taught many things in addition to prescribed syllabus, how to survive in the practical field in our work-place and past-life.

 We sent ins and outs note in black and white through messenger to the principal about our motive. Since we reached at eleventh hour, Principal had completed his important work at the drop of a hat. He called us. All of us went to him with due permission adopting all school manners as in the past.. He then asked to occupy the chairs. Some of them occupied the empty chairs and rest of them were standing in the chamber with his kind permission. We introduced ourselves one by one to him. He was happy to know about our achievements. He said to us that this school had produced such wonderful, discipline and mannered  products, they still have the respect for teachers and school. When the atmosphere became friendly, we put our proposal of organizing the get- to- gather function of old friends in the school. He agreed to our proposal and permitted us to arrange the proposed function on any Sunday. While hesitating himself ,he also asked to pay some amount as per management rules. We thanked him and also given the oral invitation to be remained present in the event as chief guest along with our other alive teachers. He agreed to our request. Permission for the function was last straw in our mission of arranging get-to-gather of classmates.
