Pandemic Injury

            There were few friends who left their native place as well as their school since back. Fortune favored them. they settled in the big city which was nearest from their native place. They were all free from their families’ gigantic responsibilities. They were just like free birds having plenty of time to spare for their friends. So, they arranged a mega event of their common sixty-one birthday in their school with all their friends. Most of them attended the unique program with their families. They made a video film of the function. After event same was handed over the all friends one -by one. All of them enjoyed it. It was then received by the city friends. They also enjoyed the video film. Mr. Arun couldn’t go with his families to Pune where his daughter would stay. They had a lovely granddaughter. Arun planned to go Pune after completion of his personal work. He did his reservation for going to Pune. It was decided to carry the pen drive regarding the video of their mega event. Rina was anxiously waiting for it as she was an anchor in the faction. Every friend greeted her for her best performance. She was very excited to see her video. She was waiting for Arun.

 Unfortunately, there was korona pandemic suddenly spread over the entire land. Government announced the total lockdown in the country for fifteen days. It was again extended due its serious impact. Nobody was allowed to go out of their home. Neither railway, state transport nor airplane services were available to the fellow citizens of India for long period. Arun was caught in trouble. He was alone in his home at Nagpur. His whole family was in Pune. His wife and family members were worried about him as there was great panic of pandemic. There was no medicine for affected patient. Thousands of patients were lost their life in all corners of India and world. Only solution was to remain in isolation.it was havoc in the country. The emotions of human beings were valueless which was very significant in the past before few days. Everybody was handicapped. In such tough situations. Doctors, para medical staff and police were working round the clock for giving services to the people of India as when going gets tough, tough get going. Arun as well as his segregated family was also sufferer of the situation. His wife had complaint about him that he always did by his heart and bring whole family into trouble. If he had come with them, he would haven’t suffered like this. Meanwhile very sad thing happened. One of our nearest friends who was very active member of our mega event was the victim of pandemic. He was admitted in a district level hospital. In the beginning, he was on ventilator in intensive care unit. But there were no symptoms of recovery from the pandemic. He was then transferred to dead unit where two or three patients would take their last breath daily. When he would see such incident, he acquired his own potential energy to respond to the ventilator. and come out from grip of Lord Yama. We were aware of his strength as cat has nine lives. We all friends were in terrific terror of his condition. We couldn’t help him in such worst condition. Anyhow we were keeping ourself isolated from the impact of pandemic. Just before the pandemic. We had a granddaughter. Both of us seen the dream of our growing granddaughter. We want to take care of her and wanted to play with her. Fortunately, his wife wasn’t with him, he was at his own home. We couldn’t share our joint happiness with our granddaughter. Both of us were afraid of the worst condition in the country due to pandemic. Nobody knows that who would survive with the time. Though he was as right as rain, he couldn’t protest her this time. He didn’t want to hurt her when everybody was already in trouble and depression. In fact, he acquired state of madness due to isolation. Time and tide wait for no man. So, he didn’t want to blame anybody as never troubles trouble unless trouble troubles you. There was the good news for him that government lifted partial restrictions for emergency cases. He was happy that his good time would come. 

              

Rina thought that Arun wouldn’t come Pune soon. She was excited to see video of their mega function. In fact, both of them was very much excited to meet with each other as they met in the function after gap of nearly forty-one years. She was with him while doing their post-graduation in science in the same institute. The financial condition of both of them were critical. So, they were making effort for self-reliance as great minds think alike. Though they might have love at first sight, but they couldn’t exchange their inner feeling in the past. Their old feelings were getting wet after their recent meetings. When Rina lost her hope of his arrival to Pune. She phoned him to send the pen drive by either currier or speed post. He was helpless. He couldn’t turndown her proposal. He sent it. On that day. When he was lying down on his bed before go to bed. There was a sequence of all past events of his life before his marriage and after his marriage running before his eyes. He started to review what he had gain or lost in his wife. What he did in his life. It was either absolutely correct or incorrect. There was big battle of thoughts in his mind running continuously. How are human beings helpless in front of nature’s destructions?
