Though he passed his tenth board examination, but he accepted the job peon as half loaf is better than none. He thought that he would remain near to native place. He had little chances of transfer from his post. He also completed his graduation from open university. Since he took permission from the office for higher education, his qualification was entered in his service book. There were some posts in clerical cadre in the department. He also passed the departmental examination. But he was posted in regional office in another state. There were negligible chances for his back to native place. The ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ship is for? But he didn’t want to leave his place. Hence there was full stop for his progress. He was of the opinion, if he left his native place, his younger brothers would capture his ancestor property. He wouldn’t get any share of it. It was established fact in the Indian society in those day. There were loopholes in law regarding ancestor property. The parent and local community also favored those kids who were in their services. Since possession was nine-tenth of law. There was a tendency among unemployed brothers why should be his share in the property. There were always classes within the brothers in Indian society in those days. He had two sons and a lovely daughter. He was running his family from both sources available to him. In this way, he was happy in his life for others. But he had some regret in the life. He could have done better in his life. Though he compromised with himself, but he wanted to make fate of his children.

Fortune favors the bold. Fortunately, there was an officer who was promoted and joined at the station. He had an elder daughter and younger son. They would go to reputed convent for taking education in the town. The Amar was in close contact with family of an officer. He was watching minutely all activities of the family. When his elder daughter attended the age for first class of primary school. An officer admitted her in central school which was far away from the office and his rented home. Amar was surprised to know that parents were making the elbow grease for admitting their kids in the convent. But his officer withdrew his daughter admission and admitted to Kendriya Vidyalaya. He was eager to know the real fact behind him. When he went to his home for his formal work, looking at good mood of family. He raised his doubt. Officer told him that he wouldn’t be here or any other place for ever like him. Then his kids wouldn’t get always convent with uniform syllabus. But there would be Kendriya Vidyalaya where syllabus is uniform, courses run uniformly in each school in anywhere in India. So, whenever and wherever, he would go either on transfer or on promotion. He wouldn’t face any problem about their education. Furthermore, whatever tuition fees paid for them which would be refundable from the office. His son also bandwagon his sister. Officer gave Amar a perfect advice as candle losses nothing in lighting another candle. He also made effort for getting admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya like his boss. His boss also helped him in the admission of his kids. In this way, he taught his all sons in Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Officer was transferred to the regional Centre again after few years. But he continued the education of his kids. His both sons were engineers. They were working in some reputed companies. His daughter did her graduation in science. She was recruited in one of the nationalized banks. He was respected in his community as well in the colony. There was a marriage of his daughter with a very educated, well-to-do and reputed family. He decided to arrange the marriage of her daughter to be memorable event for his family and relatives. He invited his officer in the marriage. He got his daughter married. His former officer wanted to attend the marriage with whole family. His family was also excited for attending the marriage. But due to odd and unavoidable circumstances the whole family couldn’t attend the marriage. After few months he came to regional office for his personal work. He went to meet his former boss and family at their home. He was welcome by the family. He narrated the whole story of his family and marriage from the past. He expressed his gratitude for giving the write direction to him and his family. He thankful to officer’s wife for providing the old books for his kids every year. He gave whole hearted  thanks to the family. But officer said to him that he hadn’t made any help to him. He only guided him. It was his wisdom to follow his instructions and shown faith on him. Nobody could help anybody. Actually, everybody should guide to his well-wisher sincerely. A Candle loses nothing in lighting another candle. He did the same thing. It was his determination and sacrifices which shaped his kids. No doubt, his kids also worked hard like him as harder you work, luckier you get Their effort brought the glory to your family and community.
