The steps he took make me look away from the cup of coffee and left my burger hanging around the corner of my mouth neither going down nor moving around the corridor of my mouth. It was left hanging. But thanks to the napkin wrapped around my neck that prevented the saliva that dropped from been noticed.

Starting from the dark coiled hair with a much more relaxed nature with too much "oh gosh it's me" oil dangling through the bare skin of the head. It was brushed in two splitter manners with the half down and the back maintaining their position and the standing strands at the front putting many features to the three curved shapes of the barber's clip.

It was morning and yet the face seems so oily that I feel the urge to touch it. His neatly ironed white with blue strip shirt tightened his arm and I felt the water gushing down my torso and I swallowed hard. The visible breast shape portraying the number of months he had probably been visiting the gym popped out from the shirt to add a more welcoming taste to his figure.

He stopped and turned towards the barman. He sat on the vacant stool. He talked inaudibly to the man and he was later given a glass of classic cocktail. He rolled his sleeves up and I marvelled.

His two arms up to the ankle were he had left naked was covered with a straight unbending strand of hair. His veins could easily be detected under those soft strand of hair. He sat comfortably resting his feet on the footstool.

Then, my eyes journeyed through the well ironed dark blue trouser he was putting on which seems to be tired of the life of ironing probably begging to be left alone. But it all seems too good. His shiny polished black suede loafers gently lift the edge of the trouser up a little bit clearly showing the picture of a phoenix bird neatly carved out as tattoo just above the heel. I inhaled hard.

I was so lost in his fantasy that I had already forgotten totally about my friend who was sitting right in front of me.

"He has come. We should go and talk to him." Luna called out to m

e.

"Who?" I demanded, too lost to pinpoint what she was talking about.

"The Manager. He is sitting over there by the bartender. "

"Of course." I cleaned out the mess I had caused with the burger earlier and followed Luna down to where the man I had been daydreaming of was sitting comfortably sipping over his glass of classic cocktail.

"Good morning. I'm Luna and this is Joce my partner."

"Right. You seem to be too early. Come let's talk outside."

He said with his buoyant voice which seems to have vibrated throughout the horizons of the bar in its masculine wrap.

The rest of the discussion wasn't known to me. Until when we walked into his office three hours later. He made me the secretary.

I couldn't stop staring at him through the corners of my eyes. And the "what if?" questions won't stop tormenting my soul.

Just by sunset, when this elegant looking woman walked briskly into the office, I thought instantly that I shouldn't have put on that pale blue gown with the silk cover up matchings that makes me look more younger than my exact age that put me in an awkward position hiding my real shape away from the world that day.

What a disgrace!!

The woman looks more like a model whose success in life depends on the number of clicks gotten from a camera in a well ventilated studio only to be seen in the cup of creams or magazines and better still, the front of every shirts. It's disgusting.

She walked briskly up to me in her "believe me not heel shoes" marking the marble floor with every troubling steps. She stopped at my front tossing a key to my face.

"You're new here?"

"Yes." I answered casually looking distasteful.

"Hold on to the keys." She said and blow a kiss to me which I returned with a smirk.

I watched her walked into his office. I look pale and worn out until Luna came to tap my shoulders.

"That's the wife." She added to my dismay.
