How Molly Became a Star

One day, I was sitting at my desk, thinking about how to start writing my research article. Of course, inspiration was nowhere to be found. I decided that to get the right ideas, I needed something that would motivate me. And then, it hit me: I printed a picture of my friend Molly. She's older than me, incredibly smart, well-educated, and also teaches English, just like me. I always feel harmony and understanding when we talk, and she inspires me to do many things. So, I thought, maybe her picture will help me find the right words for my article.

Later, as I was sitting in my room, looking at the picture of Molly, trying to focus, my mom walked in and asked the question I never expected:

— Who’s that woman on the wall? 😁

I didn’t like to explain too much about my personal life to my mom, so I quickly thought of an idea.

— She's a famous singer, I said confidently, hoping to avoid further questions. 🎤

My mom didn’t seem to know who she was.

— Who is she? What's her name?

— Molly Desmond, I replied without hesitation.

— How old is she?

I thought for a moment and answered with a serious face:

— Her age is a big secret. It's something we should respect! 

My mom looked at me, raising her eyebrows, and then said:

— Well, can I listen to her songs? 🎶

I didn’t panic. I just smiled and said:

— Sure, I’ll burn you a CD in half an hour. 💪

Since I’m quite clever, I decided to create her songs using artificial intelligence. The lyrics were mostly mine, but I used a program to add a female voice and music. And, voila! I had songs ready to go.

When my mom listened to them, she said she liked them, although she didn’t understand the lyrics because she doesn’t know English. But hey, if she liked it, that was good enough for me! 🤷

So now, my friend Molly isn’t just a teacher — she’s also a famous singer! 😁 And of course, I wrote the article.

It’s wonderful when you have someone in your life who inspires you.
