Autumn's Mirror

Autumn's Mirror

3 mins
314

The morning came quietly, as if nature itself didn’t want to disturb the peace. The forest, dressed in golden and fiery-red colors, stood still, glowing softly in the sunlight. Gentle rays of light filtered through the trees, touching the calm lake, which looked like a perfect mirror.

The water was so still that it was hard to tell where the real world ended and the reflection began. The trees leaned over the water, as if admiring their beauty, while a light mist floated above the surface, giving the place a mysterious feeling.

By the water’s edge sat a woman. Her posture was elegant, like a dancer, and her movements were calm and confident, as if they carried the wisdom of many years. Her emerald-green eyes, deep and expressive, caught every sparkle of morning light, reflecting the warm colors of the forest. Her hair, touched with silver, fell in soft waves, framing her thoughtful face, which always held a hint of seriousness.

She held a small notebook with a leather cover in her hands. Her thin, graceful fingers turned the pages carefully, as though each word inside was precious. A faint smile appeared on her lips, as if a memory or thought had gently touched her heart.

She loved autumn. She loved its ability to be both bright and gentle, its way of saying goodbye beautifully. “Here,” she wrote in her notebook, “autumn reveals its secrets. It teaches us to treasure every moment, to live deeply and feel strongly.”

This woman seemed like a part of autumn herself. Her grace and beauty were timeless, and her inner youth shone through her eyes despite the passing years. Her serious gaze, fixed on the still water, hid a world of deep thoughts. But in rare moments, when she smiled, it felt like the morning became warmer.

A soft breeze rustled through the leaves, sending ripples across the mirrored surface of the lake. The woman looked up at the sky, as if hearing its silent song. In that moment, she knew: nature was speaking to her. She was here for a reason.

As the sun rose higher, the lake sparkled with a golden light, as if thanking her for witnessing its autumn magic.

She sat where autumn’s breath was near,

Where golden voices sounded clear.

Her eyes, like emerald leaves, so bright,

Held nature’s beauty in their light.

Her thoughtful gaze, so soft, so still,

With autumn’s glow her soul did fill.

And as the breeze caressed her cheek,

The world grew warmer, calm, unique.

And in the silence rests the key,

A truth unseen by you or me.
