Freedom Of Young Minds

My daughter said to me one day, "Mom, please don't speak in front of my friends. Please stop following me everywhere, now I am a grownup and I want to be free!"

I started reminiscing about my own days of rebellion when I used to do the exact opposite of my mother's suggestion. 

She understood my state of mind and the need to grow my own wings after sometime. It requires a lot of patience and selflessness to let go of your parental control and behave like a friend to your child who wants to break free from all kinds of boundaries and boundations in the name of family and love.

I have learnt my lessons after falling several times but I gained perspective, wisdom and maturity after each failure I had experienced in life.

I told my daughter lovingly, "May you grow wings of your own but always remember that I will always be the inner voice you might need whenever you feel that you have messed up in life or look for the friendly advice amidst the crowd of many unknown faces who might be your friend but could never love you more than your own mother. 

My love is secure enough to let you go and strong enough to know that you will always come back to me once you become the strongest and the kindest person in this whole world."
