Mother Land

Rukmani Devi was a single mother who took care of her daughter with great love and care.

After her daughter got married and settled down in another country she asked Rukmani Devi, her mother to stay with her in another country but she said, "No" because she didn't want to leave her motherland.

One day, she recalled how her husband went abroad and left her behind because she was not an educated person. He told her that he would take her with him after she finished her schooling on her own. She worked hard and finally completed her schooling with flying colours. She also completed her fashion designing course and started her own boutique.

Her husband Jagmohan ji returned to his home country and started a new life with his wife who gave birth to a beautiful girl after sometime. 

One day Rukmani Devi's daughter asked her mother, "Mother why didn't you accept my father's proposal of moving to another country?"

She told her,

"I didn't leave my country because our ancestors had sacrificed their lives for this motherland and I would never leave my motherland for a foreign land because the souls of my ancestors still live here and bless all of us!"
