Little Kitten

I had a sheltered childhood as my mother used to be extra protective of her children after losing her husband very soon.

She used to lock me up in my house after leaving for work. I used to witness the world through the window of my house.

One day, after being tired of staying at home I threw the keys to my neighbourhood friend and she opened the door for me.

I was happy to experience a newfound freedom. 

Suddenly, I saw a cat taking her kitten to a safe place after some mischievous boys started pelting stones at her baby.

She was carrying her child in her mouth and I was surprised that the kitten was not trying to escape from the strong jaws of her mother. 

The kitten trusted her mother and when those boys started troubling me, I asked my friend to lock me inside my house and give my key back through window.

I realised that freedom without responsibility is dangerous and my mother was only trying to protect her child from the dangers of this world till she became old enough to protect herself on her own.

My mother was my family and family is strict for our own wellbeing.
