Father's Dream

12th exams result was announced.

Everybody from neighbors curiously asked Narendrabhai about his son’s result.

He said with a plastic smile, “He got 86.7%”

Everybody got exclaimed in delight and verbally applauded his son’s result and hard work. Narendrabhai’s aversion expressions were clearly describing that his expectations hadn’t met to his insufficient result. He decided to beat him with a leather belt. Everything he gave to him to fulfill his expectation to become a doctor and he got only 86.7%? That’s not enough to get admission in a good medical college. Today I won’t spare him. He clenched his jaw and smiled fake in front of all.

One said, “Where is he? Tell him to come out we want to congratulate him”

“He is not home. He went out to school with his friends to get mark sheet.” He tried to look happy.

Suddenly three bikes rushed near his gate.

“Kunal, Atif, Raj… you all are here then where is Hiren? Hadn’t he gone out with you?” he said anxiously.

All three friends looked dismayed.

Atif slowly approached near to him and firstly said him to sit down. He sat on chair and agitatedly asked, “Now tell me where is he?”

“Uncle, Hi-Hiren… Hiren has committed suicide.”

His heartbeat skipped, eyeballs popped out in shock. ‘Suicide’ word had literally given an electric shock to his heart…

Pressure from parents can lead to such circumstances.

Life is more than exam marks.
