This story is from Bajrangpur village of Bihar. This village is hardly included in the map of India, but the people here do not even think of including themselves in the world map. Even today there is no electricity, water and road facility in that village, but people are not bothered at all because their main problem is hunger. People here are watering their blood for bread for two times. There are some people who are either very wealthy or are in power in the government. This "Election" is the story of the change that will happen in this village in the next 4 months.

Let us start with the Sarpanch of this village, whose name is Madho Singh, who is a cruel kind of person. His only aim is his own progress. He is in power in the chair of the sarpanch of this village for the last one decade and is engaged in looting the property of the government. There are 4 wells and two ponds in the name of progress, which have been built by Madho Singh in this village. And by giving this earnest money, he is winning the election. To say, he acts to live in harmony, but is just increasing his wealth.

Another name is Bahubali Balram alias Ballu Bhaya, who is a kind of antagonist of Madho Singh and the famous goon of the village. An amphitheater runs in the village, but its main business is to give money to the people and to grab people's land by rigging the accounts. No one opens his mouth in front of him just because of fear and panic. And he gets the benefit of this every time. The whole village is upset with his behavior and Madho Singh too. Madho Singh and Ballu Bhaya have quarreled many times over this matter. Ballu is also preparing himself to contest elections this time.

Wahid Mian aka Chuttan is trying to take advantage of the dispute between these two. A butcher by profession but a wily trickster with brains. He is the leader of the Muslim community of the village, but in the eyes of everyone, he calls himself secular with the intention of remaining good. They also have a figure of 36 from Ballu, but they do not want to spoil their name till the elections, that is why they are not taking any concrete steps. Their goal is also the chair of sarpanch, but they should give their support to Madho Singh in the greed of the post of Naib Sarpanch. But Chuttan's thinking is something else which Madho Singh has not been able to understand till now neither anyone else. After the formation of the government, Chuttan is taking advantage of the opportunity to change his equation and is dreaming of becoming a sarpanch.

The whole village is aware of the intentions of these three, but no one is saying anything. There is a country liquor store in the village. After a hard day's work, most of the villagers go there to unwind and gossip, drink and have fun. Apart from this, there is no other means of happiness in their life. Everyone has got used to living in this stressful environment. Everyone prays in the heart that how this bad time can change. During this, elections are announced in the village, which is going to be held exactly after 4 months.

The preparation for filing the application starts. Just then a face Rinki Yadav appears, shocking the whole village. The entire family of Rinki Yadav has left the village and now everyone has settled in the city but they still have a small head house and land in their village. Rinki suddenly comes to look after that house. Bright educated girl, who knows how to solve every problem and dilemma. She joins this election as an emerging female leader. But attempts are made to stop and scare him.

The three veterans force her to withdraw from the election in their own way, but she does not give up and fights them in every way. When this matter reaches the Election Commission, they provide security to Rinki till the election and seeing Rinki's courage and passion on the other side, all the women of the village take to the streets in support of her. For the same reason, Chuttan, Ballu and Madho Singh also have to retreat. This was happening for the first time in this village that the women of the village were protesting. That is why without increasing the matter much, all the three fanatics, Instead of using their own strength, they think of using own intellect. And in their own way, they prepare to draw people attention towards them. Apart from all these things, Damru Majhi alias Dabba living in the same village was living life in his own tune. Whatever the name may be, but Damru was rich in character. Absolutely honest, hardworking, philanthropic and selfless. Like a Mahatma has taken birth on earth. But he did not have the slightest ego of this thing, a very naive person, away from every deceit and deceit, he used to be happy in his world. He used to help people throughout the day, eat what he got. He used to work on the same liquor contract at night, cleaning. Whenever he got time, he would spend time with his buffalo. His favorite place is the back of the buffalo, his house and bed. Instead of being sad in yesterday's worries, he rejoices in today's pleasures. If someone kills, he gets killed, if someone abuses, he listens, but never responds by turning back to anyone. This behavior of his has always attracted the villagers, that's why everyone considers him as his own and loves him except a few people.

A village master named Hathi Singh is very jealous of Damru. He humiliates her and abuses her without any reason. Damru's caste is small and the master's is high, that's why the master does not want Damru to stay in that village but cannot speak anything in front of the people, so this anger comes out by insulting Damru. After the announcement of the election, a conspiracy hatches in Master's mind to get Damru out of the way. He does this on his side by talking sweetly to Damru, which was very easy.

Then takes him and gets his nomination filed. They were seen by the people of Ballu and the people of Chuttan as they came and went. But no one pays attention to this because everyone had an idea of ​​Damru and Master's condition. And because of the pressure of elections from above, everyone was busy in their work. Ballu would now be generous, returning everyone's land in the hope of getting votes. On the other hand, Madho Singh, along with Chuttan, is luring people with money to woo people. Rinki tries to make everyone aware, talks about women progress and women education.

Orchestra, choir play continues in the village and artists are promoted. Colorful programs are presented. Ballu and Madho are not short in giving competition to each other in elections. Rinki teaches women to wear frocks, palazzos in the village to make them modern, which the men of the village do not digest. Rinki does her own dance, sings songs for the promotion. There is a kind of fair atmosphere in the village, only then the news spreads that Damru is also standing in the election.

When this news falls in the ears of both Madho Singh and Ballu, both of them get furious. Now both the goons look for Damru. Unaware of this Damru is sleeping on the back of his buffalo in the village pond. Two days after the date of withdrawal of nomination papers, Ballu and Madho want Damru to be caught and his name withdrawn. But no one gets it for two days. Because he does not have any home or any whereabouts, it is difficult to find. Meanwhile, the date of withdrawal of nomination passes, and then Damru is also caught.

Madho Singh and Ballu beat him in turn and threaten him to stay away from the election. He too agrees out of fear. Damru has not been seen by anyone since that day. He starts living near a pond outside the village. The master becomes very happy because his wish has been fulfilled after so many days. The people of the village however look for Damru a lot and miss him. It is discussed even during the election season. All around this thing fails that Damru was beated harshly by Madho and Ballu and made him disappear.

There is sympapathy for Damru in the whole village, on the other hand there is anger for Ballu and Madho. But everyone was compelled. Rinki now slowly came down on cheap publicity to win the election. On the next night of the election, the whole village is at Daru's base because Ballu Bhaya has given a feast. Everyone is intoxicated by drinking alcohol. The next day everyone votes in the election. While coming to vote, someone comes and tells that Damru lives near the pond. The whole village goes to get him. Madho or Ballu do not pay any attention to this matter because the election is over and their purpose has been fulfilled. Now the day comes for which Ballu, Madho, Chuttan and Rinki were eagerly waiting for more than the villagers. Damru is lying on top of his buffalo in the pond. Counting begins. Even after a very difficult equation and in spite of so many tricks, all the crooks have to beat the washermen and to a surprise, Damru wins the election as an independent candidate.

We go back a little and see that the night before the election, when everyone was drinking alcohol at the base, they decided to vote for Damru.

In today's present time, Damru is taking oath and the villagers are happy that something has changed. The master is having pasta by his actions and is getting beaten up by the ballu. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the house of Madho and Chuttan. Rinki had half-completed shortcomings in his motive. Due to being second in the election, he got the post of Naib Sarpanch and married Damru and decided to stay in the village. Now Damru and Rinki are working together for the progress of the village.

This proves that if the chaiwala can become the prime minister and the autowala can become the chief minister then why the buffalo herder cannot become the sarpanch. Can be formed and can also run the best government. We all should also take a lesson from this story that every damru needs a chance and encouragement, then he will furnish even an ordinary village with extraordinary toiletries.
