Synopsis:-

This story begins between 1965 and 1967 when the political campaigning of Bhavani Prasad (30) was going on in Rampur, Khordha district. Bhavani Ji was a very popular and famous person in that area and a senior leader of the CPI party. His election campaign was going on today. People also loved him a lot, so they voted for him and made him win. Contribution to politics, party responsibility, and time in the service of the public got overrun in such a way that it was not known, and Bhavani ji's marriage age was passing. In 1971, under pressure from his family, Bhavani Ji marries Nirmala Panda (28) from a nearby village. After a year of marriage, i.e., in 1972, a son is born to them, who is named Babu in childhood and Dhananjay Prasad after growing up a bit. That village is mostly full of tribal and small caste people, if not completely. Bhavani ji and a few houses belonged to Brahmins; that's why Bhavani ji was more respected in the whole village, even according to caste. Bhavani ji had a widowed mother, Devki (47), who was very kind and affectionate by nature. The sorrow of any human being could not be seen by him. When someone came to her for help, she used to help without thinking about or seeing his caste or religion.

Sometimes there used to be a debate between mother and son on this matter because Bhavani ji did not like people of lower caste and class. And he was a family landlord, and his blood was full of landlordism. They were just trying to increase their wealth by snatching land from people or by cheating.

Dhananjay grew up in such a dual-minded home environment and under the umbrella of a dual-personality father. Living in such an environment, he was growing up slowly. But still, he was different from his childhood.

And above all, he was influenced by his grandmother. Dhananjay liked thinking about people, worrying about them, and helping them. He liked it very much and used to relax. In the sale, Dhananjay (Babu) saw how people who used to respect and respect his father in front of every one were doing evil in private and condemning him. Because Bhavani Ji exploited the general public by taking advantage of his political rights and the good fortune of being an upper caste, Even though he did not physically hurt anyone, he tortured them mentally. For example, in times of compulsion, mortgaging people's land at a lesser price and collecting three times the loan by increasing the interest rate If someone ran away from the village and came to his house to tell him that a buffalo had entered his field and was destroying the crop, So he used to drive away the buffalo from that person. When Bhavani ji's house was 3 km from the village and 5 km from the farm, even then he did not think even once to commit such atrocities. On the other hand, Devki ji or Dhananjay used to respect the people who came to the house, ask for water, and then understand their minds and help them.

Slowly, Babu was growing up now; he must have been 12 or 13 years old. One day he saw that people were defecating in his pond, and not for half a day, but every day. He asks his grandmother the real reason for this. Dadi learns that the people whose land has been taken away by her father are doing so out of anger. That day, for the first time in his mind, the fire of rebellion against his father and the dual political mindset hidden in him was kindled.

Time was passing, and Babu had now grown up. At the age of 17, he joined a college in Bhubaneswar in 1988.

Before coming to the college, Babu, i.e., Dhananjay, was very bright and had passed the matriculation boards exam with the top number; that is why he was studying carefully in the college also, but destiny had something else approved. He was born not to improve his own life by studying but to improve the lives of thousands of people by raising his voice against exploitation and injustice.

In college, he found that the upper-caste children were torturing the lower-caste children. Hindu-Muslim discrimination was at its peak at that time. He complained about this to his teachers and familiar senior students. But no one paid attention to his words and did not listen to him. The teachers used to advise him to pay attention to his studies and not get involved in all these matters. The headmaster even cried for his father's respect.

On the other side, senior students all knew him and his father's attitude, which is why they pretended to support him but used to make fun of him behind his back. Thus, no one was ready to stand by him in his complaint.

Then Babu heard the college student politician, CPI Yuva Morcha President Naren Majumdar (30), giving a speech. For the first time, after listening to the speech of a leader, he made up his mind towards him. There used to be some incident or another in the college every day. Sometimes a Dalit girl student misbehaved, and sometimes a Muslim student was attacked. Babu's anger was increasing slowly after seeing all these things. Seeing the opportunity one day, he complained about this to Naren, and Naren was also impressed by Babu's behaviour and attitude and made up his mind to help him. Then, after speaking of Naren, all the wrong activities in the college stopped for a few days. One or two students were also taught a lesson.

Exactly one month after that, there was a knock at Babu's door one night. Babu opens the door in his sleep, and some boys forcefully enter inside. Two Muslim boys used to live in Babu's room; they had come to ask for donations for Ganpati Puja. Puja was going to be held in the college after a few days, which is why some students were collecting donations. When the Muslim boys refused to give, the rest of the children started forcing them.

Slowly, things started increasing, and the matter reached a scuffle. Then Babu comes in between them and fights with all of them. beat everyone; for the first time in his life, he raised his hand to someone. When there was no help from the law or the government, he was determined to solve the matter himself. This was the second time the fire of rebellion was kindled in his mind. The next day, it had become a thorn in the eyes of some students and great for others. Now a young leader was growing inside him. The next day, he learns that Naren and the goon students have met. Shutting down everything, trapping him in sweet talks, and again, a sudden attack—all these were part of a pre-planned plan. The respect Babu was building towards Naren had now turned to ashes. Now Babu has decided to enter politics.

Hearing this, Babu's father, Bhavani ji, comes to the college hostel one day. Many try to explain it to him. Try to somehow change his mind. CPI leaders and some religious people also came there with him. Those who were giving all kinds of absurd arguments He was imparting knowledge of religion. Babu was also answering everyone's talk, and the debate increased so much that Babu got angry, threw away his sacred thread, and refused to belong to any religion. And the college remained firm in its decision to enter politics. That's why his father clearly refused to give him any kind of financial help today. Babu was also stubborn, so he also accepted his father's challenge, but at that time he was not earning anything. Still, he did not change his decision.

Later, he became a youth leader and replaced Naren in the CPI party. Slowly, he came to know that there was a lot of corruption in the CPI party. He tried to change all of them, but no one can change an old party so quickly. On the contrary, the party started pressuring him to change. He found that he is not the only one who is harassed by the party for speaking the truth. There are other people who are equally victimised like him. All of them together opened an organisation that would remain an integral part of the party but only work for the public's welfare.

Even in this way, he tried a lot to improve the image of the party and do fair politics. But his party was not liking all this. Then the government was of the BJD party, and the condition of the state was very bad. But the assembly introduced a bill to increase the allowance and pension of ministers and MPs. CPI was supporting the government on this matter. Dhananjay was greatly hurt by this. The CPI party was formed only to observe the activities of the government and to become the voice of the people by being against them. But today, the same party was supporting the greedy government bill.

In order to remove the misery and bad condition of the public, he decided that instead of staying inside the government, he would go outside the hands of the government and keep his word. Together, he and his supporters formed an organisation. Whose name did you people named Naxal later? The organisation had a mantra: "One people, one voice, with a bang". Lal Salaam.

That day, a torch of rebellion was lit in his mind forever and was never going to be extinguished.
