It is very easy to do arm chair driving, it is a completely different task to all together face a challenge, shouted Nanthita. Oh well, this has been going on for the past eight years. Not a day went in peace, each day brought a new challenge. Nanthita was a woman of steel grit and determination and mind you, no challenge is big or small, a challenge is a chance to open the locked door. So when a differently-abled child was brought to her eighth grade, she was tremendously anxious. Well to start with how this child copes in the class, what her classmates will say, how will she respond to games, class chores, dance, drama, activities and what not.

But to her amazement, the students just considered her a part of the class differently-abled or not. She was a part of games and even bagged prizes in shot put. Well, she was a bit slow but meticulous in her work, she completed all her work. Her writing was beautiful. By the end of the term she was progressing shoulder to shoulder with her friends. Well, it seems that only we elders see things with coloured glasses, the children don't care, they are not apprehensive nor prejudiced. They just cross the bridge when it comes. Well, Nanditha is a much profound teacher now who realised handicap is not with the child but her mind and thoughts, which she overcame with time.
