Indian economy right from the beginning based on agriculture. Most of the countrymen lived in villages. The father of our nation always said that our country was made up of villages. Unfortunately, our political leaders have not paid too much attention to the development of the rural economy, infrastructure and basic amenities for villagers as they had very poor long sight. Though our country has become self-reliant on food grains our farmers are still poor. There was a total imbalance of resources between towns and villages. These differences were keenly noticed by the young generation. Therefore most all the young people were attracted to urban areas. The young of villages get shifted to town, town to cities and from cities to metropolitan cities respectively. Industrialization, jobs in government and private sectors were the main centres of their attraction to the youth for leaving their native places. There was a deficiency in rural manpower for rural traditional jobs due to the mass migration of rural manpower. There was a set trend among the girls not to get married to farmers. They wouldn’t have any affinity towards their native as well as bridegroom village.

There was a small family in a fairly big village. The Master of the family was a farmer who was farming his land. He had both sons and a daughter. He dared to open a flour mill in his house for additional income. All his kids had been used to going to local schools for education. Anyhow they completed their school education bypassing higher secondary board examination except for the youngest son who did poly-technique and later degree course in mechanical engineering. When the daughter attended the age of marriage, her father was worried about her marriage. He received many proposals for a match bridegroom from both relatives and friends. But the daughter and her mother refused them as all these proposals were from villages. Mother and daughter had already stood that they would not accept the bridegroom from the village. She was ready to marry with peon or tea stall man provided he would be settling in the town. They searched for such a match life -partner for long period. Good days come to those who wait. A proposal was received from the city who was an employee in some private company. His father was retired from his government job. They had their own house. The Master of the house had only two sons. Bridge accepted the proposal as soon as the boy agreed to get married. she gets him married as per their caste customs. She had a beautiful daughter and handsome son. Both were happy and enjoying their life.

Her elder brother also gets married and looks at the house business of the flour mill. His father was used to paying attention to floor mill as well as farming. His youngest son was an engineer in the same city where his married sister used to live. After a few years, the engineer also gets married to his lover and stays in the city with his family. Everything was alright in all families.

There was a pandemic in the country. It made havoc among the countrymen. The Indian economy collapsed totally on all fronts except agriculture due to various causes. In the changed situation, her husband lost his job. There were so many young like him who lost their job for the above-said reason. There was havoc in length and breadth throughout the country. Everybody was struggling for medical facilities as well as daily bread and butter. The entire Situation was worst everywhere. The Indian economy was only upheld by agriculture. The farmers proved themselves once again as warriors in the pandemic. But they hadn’t any land for support to overcome financial crises. It was a very critical time for all of existence. When normalcy was restored due to control over the pandemic due to the aid of various involved worriers and the sincere effort of the government, the couple had decided to make effort for beginning either some business or some job to come out of the worst situation. But there was no job due to collapsed economy.

The couple had decided to start some domestic daily need products. Both of them made effort in this matter. Initially, they would prepare handmade products. When they found its demand, they purchased some machines and kept a few employees for their help. They have been used to make money by selling homemade products. They continued their business in full swing as there wasn’t any guarantee of getting any job in near future.

Wrong policies, as well as wrong decisions, were responsible for their present state. If every girl thinks like her not to be married to a farmer staying in villages, what would happen with the young boys in villages? would they survive with this mindset ?. Government and the young generation should be able to think over this burning problem. They should change their strategy and policies so that they wouldn’t panic about the situation of pandemics in future.
