Childhood Friend

                    When baby grows and become the child, Grown baby is more interested with other children of their age. Such company teaches them so many things which becomes the base and background of their life. They learned from each other what is good and bad ?. There were two friends in sub-town in small town who were living at stone’s throw. They had completed their primary education in the same school. They would play together with other friends. One of them was slightly sound economically whose name was Arun. Both of them were the youngest in their big families. Father of his friend whose name was Gunuvanta. He was very strict as well as disciplined man. But Arun’s father was slightly gentle man. That’s why he was not so serious in study in comparison to his friend. Both of them completed their primary education. There was marriage of Arun’s elder brother just after the final examination of primary school. Therefore, family decided to send him with his elder brother at new place. So, both of them were in isolation with each other for a few years. Whenever Arun used to come his old town, they would meet ,play together, seeing films and exchange their emotions with each other. They would spend most of time with each other as absences makes heart grow fonder.

           After two years, his elder brother was transferred to another town. Arun asked his parent to join the school at his old town. Parent agreed to his proposal and both the friends again reunited in the same school. Both of them passed their tenth board examination with flying colors. They themselves admitted for higher secondary board examination. Arun was very serious towards his career at the crossed road. Desperate times call for desperate measures. He decided to change his school as there were no qualified and worthy teachers. Then he joined the second year of secondary board course at district level junior college. His friend was remain in the school with other friends. He was targeted by rest of the school friends for his unique act of leaving school. They always made fun about Arun that he would stand in merit in the board examination. Their act pinched him a lot. He took it with pinch of salt. He decided to do some outstanding work so that his friends would admit that he was as right as rain. The grass on other side is always greener than other. But things were not so easy as he thought in the beginning. Most of his time and energy were being wasted in attaining the classes daily by train. He still continued his effort for the best with the hope as every cloud has a silver lining. Exertion and burden of study had deteriorated his health by leaps and bound. He used to be sick frequently during academic year. He was confused what he should do at the crossed road. Whatsoever he made up his mind to appear the board examination.

         No sooner did his board examination over, than he was admitted to big hospital for his health problem. Anyhow he was recovered from his heath issue. But doctor suggested him that he shouldn’t had to be more laborious for few years. Thereafter he should be always health conscious. He passed his board examination. But his closest friend could not succeed to do so. He cleared it in second attempt. Arun did his graduation and post graduation in science . But his friend changed so many braches for doing graduation. He was still doubtful about his graduation in any branch.

           Arun was selected through competitive examination for government job in scientific department. He was initially posted in his own state near to his home town. But he was transferred to another state. His parent decided about his marriage. Arun, Gunvanta and his elder brother went to see the girl. All of them given positive consequent about the girl. Parent get him married. Both the friends get isolated again. On very few occasion, they met with each other after marriage. There was no telephone facilities with them. They could not remain in touch with each other for long period. Out of site ,out of mind.

             Every dog has it’s day . after struggle of more than five six years. There was ray of hope for him. He got state government job. He was very smart young man. He get lady teacher married who was as beautiful and charming as he. Infect, she was right match for him as good things come those who wait. Every thing was okay in his life. But his relation went wrong with his elder brother over selection of girl. His elder brother took it very seriously. They did not want to see each other faces. Nature blessed him with two sons. They were not so smart like their parent but they proved themselves to be capable, efficient engineer. His elder son married with a software engineer during korona pandemic.

               Fortune favors the bold. His friend who was very senior to him in respect of marriage had two kids. Arun had a soft ware engineer elder daughter and biotech engineer son. Parent get them married. His son-in-law and daughter-in -law were both engineer. Both friends built their homes in the orange city fortunately. When Gunvanta went his native town. He got the mobile number of Arun from senior friend incidentally. As absences makes the heart grow fonder, He contacted with Arun over mobile. He was very much surprised over call from his beloved friend. He also told him about Shrikant who was their classmate and residing in the same colony. They wanted to meet with each other at Arun’s home. As per their scheduled plan, they met with each other. All were very happy. coincidently, Arun was about to retire after few months . So he invited both of them with their families in his retirement party at his home. All of them retired from their jobs. They were free-birds to enjoy. They formed a What’s up group. They planed to celebrate the sixtieth common birthday of their classmates. They had made effort to organize that function at their old school in their native place. Most of classmates from different corners of country gathered in that function. They wanted to respect their live teachers of their age.

          The old teachers were paid respect by all gathered students in the function. Old teachers addressed them and extended their blessing to their beloved students. It was their dream project after retirement in which they were successful to join their isolated friends. They used to celebrate birth anniversary of friend’s gathering every year to boost their moral and love for ever. They wanted to keep their friendship intact still their last breath. It is very easy to have fifty friends but it is very difficult to maintain friendship for fifty years with childhood friend. They prayed to Nature that they might be continued unbroken  friendship till their last breath.
