I ran through the undergrowth pushing aside low-hanging branches and bushes. I heard the roar as the lion started sprinting faster. I wasn’t getting any closer to the lion. It leapt and landed on Sillas. I decided to take a chance. I threw the knife at the lion hoping to see the hilt sticking out of its neck. Sadly, however, it fell to the side at the same moment. The knife flew over it and impaled itself halfway into the tree. Sillas took that moment to leap on the lion and rip apart its stomach spilling blood everywhere.

Sillas slowly turned his head to look at me. We looked into each other's eyes. A moment passed by. And another one. And another one. We stood there, staring deeply into each other’s eyes. I was sure that this was Sillas. I could tell by his slightly bushy tail and the arrangement of his stripes, which left a large gap of orange in the middle. We kept staring at each other. The moments flew by.

Finally, I decided to break eye contact. I took a step toward him. He kept staring at me. I slowly raise my hand out toward his head trying to pet him. I took a step closer. He pounced on me making me fall to the ground. I tried opening my eyes, but I was blinded by licks. I started laughing. I pushed him off of me and hugged him.

“I’m so sorry for leaving you, buddy. But it is time to come back. We need your help,” I told him smiling.

“Rowr!” He replied. I smiled.

“Let’s go!” I said, running back to our cave knowing he was following.
