Once upon a time, a young man named Subrat was living in a town with his parents. He was the only son without having any brothers or sisters. His father was a Forest Officer and his mother was a lecturer in a college nearby. Subrat was a student of a final year student of MSc in the University. They belonged to a middle-class family which was well established in the town.

Once in the spring season, Subrat got a chance to visit the dense forest with his father. He stayed with her father in the office room situated inside the forest surrounded by natural beauties. As Subrat was a romantic young man he went into a tribal village with a forest guard to enjoy the scenery as well as to take some experience about the behavior of jungle folks. So he reached a tribal village and began to talk. But the folks could not understand his mother tongue Hindi. So Mr. Subrat was somewhat upset as he was very inquisitive and ever prone to acquire knowledge. But the Forest guard managed the awkward situation as he was well known for that tribal language. He also told Subrat about a tribal young lady named Mamali who was a college student. She was a native girl and a brilliant student receiving a stipend for a scholarship. The guard also advised him to go to Mamali who might teach him the tribal language, her mother tongue.

After hearing so Subrat suddenly proceeded to Mamali's house with the guard and acquainted himself with her and her parents very well in no time as he was a very sociable young man. He also informed his parents about his ambition to learn the tribal language at his leisure beyond the curricula. As his parents were educated they were happy and allowed Subrat to go to Mamali's house to fulfill his ambition on the dates fixed by Mamali. Then he regularly plied to the house of Mamali to undergo coaching. Likewise, one year was completed and Subrat passed Msc. in zoology in the meantime. As he bears a moral character according to the teachings of his idealistic parents nobody could even dream of his loss of character while the tribals were observing his close proximity with Mamali.

Now Mr.Subrat captured the language up to a reasonable standard and was able to converse with Mamali and her neighbors gradually. One day Mamali's father, who was the Chieftain of ten nos. of neighboring tribal villages, had been to a nearby annual village fair to sell the paddies and cereals. So in good faith, the Chieftain requested Subrat to stay at his home at night only for one night lest he might be late to come back. Though tribal people were very rigid in amorous affairs, their rigidness was lenient in the case of Mamali and Subrat, as the neighbors of the Chieftain had been remaining vigilant on them. So no question of character loss was there. It is the creation of God: Adam and Eve/Manu and Manupatni for the sacred purpose of procreation since the beginning of the creative cycle on the earth without deviation which has been continuing as yet. While two young opposite sexes confront each other there must be a chance of collision which may result either in the shape of heaven or the hell viz either in a rose or in its thorns.

The wristwatch of Subrat's stroke at 10 PM and his study and coaching were over by that time. Although Mamali's father was a tribal man he was also a Matriculate and the well-fashioned and well-to-do person who had built a beautiful building inside the dense forest with a decent look for his loving daughter and wife in the style of modernity-cum- trbality. However, Mamali has cooked the supper and both of them including mom took the meal. Tribal folks are basically the men and women of good faith but do not perhaps, tolerate the sexual activities of unmarried boys and girls if detected. There are also many instances in our tribal communities in the past, especially in the case of non-tribal urban dwellers who often cast their lusty eyes upon any tribal girl. Then Mamali's mom advised them to sleep separately in different rooms. That was a cold wintry night. Excessive cold was being felt inside jungle. But suddenly Mamali felt dizzy due to cold and cough as well as due to the jerking of her scooty while plying to College on the mountainous roads. So she was fully exhausted and wanted company. She told her mom about her physical condition. Her mom slept with her the whole night and massaged her with herbal liquid warmed up by Subrat. In the adjacent room, Subrat fell asleep.

In the next morn, the Chieftain returned home, and when he marked the polished behavior and manners of Subrat he was extremely pleased. The mother of Mamali also confirmed her husband regarding Subrat's Character. The Chieftain told Subrat, "Dear son I know that you are an urban non-tribal Youngman having with high qualifications and strong background. I am also very well known to your dad. That day I had also seen your mom. You are also regularly in contact with my daughter Malali. I put a suggestion before you. Would you keep up?" Subrat was amazed and asked, " What is that? I must try. Sir Please tell. You are a fatherly person. " Then the Chief suggested straightforwardly, " I want you to marry my daughter. Do you agree? Mamali is my only daughter and affectionate one. If you agree with my proposal then tell me I'll consult with your dad instantly. I know that your dad is a quite nobleman. He can never refuge. "

It was a very sensitive issue to be thought over. Though Mr. Subrat was inwardly happy as per the urge of human nature during celibacy, still he was doubtful about his parent's decision. So he suggested the Chieftain to hold a discussion with his dad and mom soon. After getting the indirect consent of Subrat he paid a courtesy visit to Subrat's residence and narrated the fact. Subrat's father, the noble Forest Officer, offered his valuable comment, " Yes whatever you told me Sir is hundred percent genuine. I have, at all, no objection in this regard. Above all your daughter and my sons' decision must be the final. " Subrat's mom arrived there with some snacks and tea to entertain the guest, the tribal Chief. She also complied with her husband. Again for confirmation, the Chief asked, " Dear Sir I want to know whether your kith and kins raise any objection regarding caste and tradition as I am a tribal and you are a general. Tell me frankly so that my daughter might not weep in the future for this inter-community marriage. " The Forest Officer retorted instantly, " No no no, I can never think so. Since our ancestral period our family members have been very liberal on humanitarian standpoints till today. Our ancestors had never cherished casteism during their lifetime. I have also inherited that quality. I know that human beings are divided into two nos. of castes only. One is male and another is female, or man and woman. In the kingdom of God, there is no casteism. Almighty God only hears the inner heart's voice of every human being after all, as He is the omniscient. Good manners, universal love, kindness, helpfulness, and cordiality are some of the best qualities of human beings which are liked by Him forever. So I can never be suppressed by sociophobia. OK, Sir do the needful as soon as possible as it is an auspicious deed".

The discussion between two persons was over. The Chieftain came back to his village and informed Subrat accordingly. When a celibate gets support from elders on love affairs, secretly or openly,he or she feels so ecstatic as if they get a golden-potful of nectar from the heaven. Hence Subrat and Mamalis' joy knew no bounds while they came to know such good news from the Tribal Chief. Now Mr.Subrat is free of tension and waited for the arrival of Mamali from the College. That was a Spring vesper when all the jungly birds stopped their chirping . Mamali's mother started burning an earthen lamp in front of their village deity when Mamali reached home. The Chieftain was out of the house at that time. Subrat made up his mind to give a surprise to Mamali about which she was unknown. Being refreshed Mamali prayed to the village goddess for the well-being of her family and took a light tiffin. Her mother also after completing vespers began cooking for dinner. In this way, time passed on. It was 9 PM. The Forest Officer telephoned to his son, " My dear Subrat how are you? I hope you may have learnt the tribal language of that area. Take care of your health first. Because health is wealth. I have selected a bride for you to marry. Be strong enough my son. After two months you must marry a handsome girl of bright complexion having a bright student career. Her name is Mamamli who is with you now. Never try to touch her physically now until your marriage ceremony is completed". As per the father's advice Subrat followed so. Before going to bed at night Subrat told Mamali, " Dear Mamali I love you ". Then instantly Mamali replied," I love you too" as she knew about her matrimony from her mom beforehand. Mr. Subrat designed to give a sudden surprise to Mamali through expression of a romantic voice" I love you ". But his design turned a fool's paradise at once while he knew that Mamali had already been informed by her mom regarding their matrimony beforehand.

By leaps and bounds, time moved on. The winter put an icy and foggy blanket on the whole surface. The Mandap was structured at the foot of a hill nearby. The marriage ceremony of Mamali and Subrat was celebrated with pomp and grandeur amid the encircling natural environment. All drinkers enjoyed the feast with non-veg food and costlier malted wines. All Sadhus took veg food with a tumblerful of the pure milk of black cows. All hermits took the glass full of juices of various types of plumps and fruits. All the urban guests enjoyed the feast happily. All the street loafers were served with delicious veg food and chilumful of marijuana. Optional foods and drinks were also arranged to satisfy foreign guests. Juices of Mahula, juices of palms, chips of coconuts, cold drinks, champagne, brandy, whisky, etc. were also provided for the VIP guests as a whole. Tribals of that area were extremely happy for the inter-community marriage and also sent the couple to their hometown to fulfill the rest of the wedding rituals at their home through a big bus. Samarendra Singdeo, the Forest Officer and the father of Subrat arranged the fourth night ceremony at his residence luxuriously. Completion of ceremony revealed the Ist day of the conjugal life of newly wedded couple with much enthusiasm and  gaiety....
