A FIGHT OF STORIES

A FIGHT OF STORIES

The hour hand struck its pointed end to the body of four and a soft banging sound echoed through the walls of the room. And coincidently the curtains were made aside by the wind to welcome the heartfelt presence of fragnance of the beautiful mogra flowers in the grandly designed garden filled with greenery. Along came the bright old rays of the sun filling the room with a fresh sight of sunshine.

But who knew that even in this great entrance of nature's entities there will be some talkative non living creatures fighting immensely for their fundamental rights by not even caring about the sunshine and fragrance."Today Lata will read me" said a big slim story book kept at the top of the shelf. "No she will read me for sure" said another story book kept under the first one. Listening to both of them said the third book, "Both of you will be rejected today and I will be read by Lata" said a fat and filthy book.

"No point of reading you today, she has classes and cannot complete you reading today, I am quite thin and she can comfortably read me and finish the story. Second one said, "Lata will read me. I have lots of jokes and comics. She will read me for relaxation."

Growled the third one and said, "I have lot of interesting pictures so she will surely read me for her entertainment."

"Lata also has other daily chores to do and a lot of homework to complete so she will be reading me only, I am thin and easy to complete in short time", squeaked the first one. The second one said, " No she will read me as she also needs some kind of jokes to make her feel refreshed." Third one said, " Stories with pictures are easy to complete and also feel refreshed so she is going to read me first."

A heated discussion started and the three books were terribly fighting with each other about who will be read first. These story books were very keen to be completed and loved being read as much Lata loved to read stories. If you are a story lover then your books may also be fighting sometimes in your absence so,'BE AWARE'!!

The fight had no sign of ending and was going on for 2 hours like a blockbuster movie. All other books were irritated by their fight but no one had the courage to face them. Each wood particle of the wooden shelf were echoing their opinions. The three of them had their own reasons for being read first. Suddenly all three of them came to a grave silence. Three of them stopped talking to each other and started thinking that they were wrong and the other two were right. All three of them thought themselves to be very unlucky and even regretted on their fate. All of them started making God responsible for all of this.

At 6:15 in the shadowy evening Lata came and picked up her school books and went away to study. But, today was something different. She was not alone. Two of her cousins had also come to live with her for a few days,  Alaap and Ragini. They were now going to do a little bit of home work for the next day online classes. When the clock struck 8 p.m. it was their time to read the stories. Alaap was very bored and needed something with pictures to read. Ragini had to sleep early as she was tired so she needed a thin story book. Lata wanted some freshness and a small wink of smile. So, when Lata picked up all the three books, the three were greatly amazed by the breaking of suspense.

The fat book was now in the small and curious hands of Alaap. The thin book was in the hands of Ragini who looked quite satisfied by getting it. And Lata kept the comic book for herself. Now the three books could not believe what was happening. It was like an unexpected miracle for all of them. The children enjoyed the reading the books, and so did the tearful and overjoyed books by being read. They prayed to God to forgive them for their loss of the presence of mind.

They had got a great lesson of life, God has his plans made and he does not make partiality among any of us irrespective of who we are, which religion we belong to, which caste are we from and what is our gender. He treats all equally. But we have created gender and caste discrimination in the name of that God whom we worship and who never discriminated between his own creations. So we should also leave all the societal barriers and that is the only way to naturally kill these poisonous thoughts which are hazardous for the true creations of our deity in whom we solely believe.
