Indo Cellular Diversity
Indo Cellular Diversity
First time when I tried to go deep into the science of fundamental unit of life, the cell something amused me a lot. When I read about the cell organelles and their function, that known but unique thing amused me even more. I felt like that I had once that amazing feeling while reading about something else. But, I could not get it now.
So, as I had to read the chapter concentratedly, my brain made me surrender and took me into the interesting world of science but my heart would not. And you know when ones heart sticks to a thing it is very hard and probably impossible to remove it, the same thing happened with me too. Suddenly when the fact I read that some organisms have their own nucleus to produce energy some derive energy from the cell nucleus, I found that word to express the inexpressible feeling. It was diversity. And when I remembered the word diversity my heart felt the warmth of victory and my brain immediately recollected where I had read this and informed me about the relation of diversity of both India and cell.
I was suddenly relating the smallest unit of life with one of the largest subcontinents. I was relating the different dress styles of the people of our country with different organelles of cytoplasm. I was discovering that the physical features of ou
r country like Himalayas, Indian ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea can be compared with the cell membrane and cell wall. The capital of our diversified country, New Delhi can be compared with the brain of the cell, nucleus.
Different food which a cell eats in different form and takes into itself to different membranes were something that I compared with different food that people eat throughout the country in different places and in different styles with of course all the cuisines having a unique taste. My mind was so curious that it did not leave the region, religion and language too. All the three;my brain ,heart and mind mixed the data in me and came with new thoughts. They the compared religions with the Golgi apparatus as all of them are present in cytoplasm in different forms at different region. The cytoplasm was compared with the large holy land of India. I was thinking the whole cell to be the diversified but united subcontinent, India.
I was relating this to that, these to those and finally everything carefully and clearly when I got out of this imaginatively comparative world with the loud sound of my father who had just found me smiling by looking to the cell diagram joyfully. I wonder if he was probably thinking that I was conversing with the cell...!!!
