It was a blissful morning, I was sitting in a park, there was a girl sitting next to me fully engaged with her phone. Closely she was looking at phone screen with a blank expression on her face. Another person jogging, was not concentrating on the park pathway. With a Bluetooth headphone over his head, he was also fully immersed in his phone screen. 'These types of people can't have social life' thinking that, I got up from the bench & started towards my home. I looked around & was spellbound by that beautiful morning, sun rays directly falling on the lake making it's water glitter like 24 carat gold, birds chirping, greenery everywhere & cool breeze, all these things were so soothing & gave an immense satisfaction to the soul.

The only thing that was bothering me were the people around, not even a single person was noticing this beauty of nature, everyone was busy with their heads down, looking at their phone screens. They were not even having time to greet each other. Probably they all were busy with their social media life & the real life became virtual. I thanked god for not having a phone. I got so frustrated that I started moving fast to avoid the robots around me, which were not even aware of my presence, soon I reached home. I opened the door, I saw both mom & dad sitting on the couch busy doing something with their phone. I greeted them but got no reply, they looked sad. Again I said loudly 'Good Morning mom & dad' but they were so busy with their phones that they didn't even bother to reply. Annoyed I went inside my room & slammed the door really hard. I was startled to see my phone on my study table, it was broken, I picked it up & everything came in front of my eyes.

It was yesterday, I was sitting on the same bench in that park, watching a video on my phone, I got up & started jogging, after finishing my exercise I started for my home, my head still inside my phone, not realizing that I was crossing the road & there was a truck coming from the other side. I died on the spot, truck driver was rushed to the hospital. Sitting on my bed, with a broken phone in my hand, I am still wondering...

Was it only my fault or the truck driver was also looking at his PHONE SCREEN?
