It has been one and a half months since the lockdown has started in India due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The roads are empty, the beaches are clean, air quality has improved. Humans these days are passing most of their time at home. Almost everyone nowadays is connected through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and of course Tik-Tok.
From the last one month, I and my roommates have started feeding stray dogs as due to lockdown there has been a shortage of food for them. One day we found two puppies in our apartment hidden under a car. Soon we all became friends with them and daily we started feeding them but due to restriction from our landlord, we were not allowed to bring them inside our house. One night while I was feeding them, our neighbor called me and asked me not to feed those dogs. When I asked the reason he told that there are kids in the society and those little puppies were a threat to them. Also, he told that they made the place messy, and if we will not feed them, the puppies will go somewhere else in search of food. As I was not in a mood to argue with him I simply told him OK. But from the next day again we started giving food to them, till one day he saw me and my friend feeding the puppies, that day we had a big argument and other members of the society supported us.
Yesterday while I was on Facebook a strange thing happened, I saw the picture of that Uncle with whom we fought the other day, with those two puppies, it was uploaded one month ago and the post read as '#ANIMAL LOVER #DOG LOVER#'. I was really upset on seeing how people have become so good at faking these days. I dropped a comment on his picture 'FEED THEM DAILY ;)'.
