It was drizzling that day, I was waiting under the shed of a shop, trying to save my phone screen from getting wet. The Google Maps on my phone showed the remaining distance as 200 meters. As the rain stopped I started and soon reached my destination 'Script Culture Institute'. I went inside the receptionist greeted me with a warm smile and told me that my class will start in 15 minutes. I was excited, as for the first time in my life I listened to my heart. I always wanted to be a screenplay writer for Bollywood but the situation in life forced me to do a 9-5 job in MNC, though it paid well but I always thought that something was missing and then I decided to follow my heart. As I was waiting for the class to start 10 minutes later a guy holding a helmet and register came and sat beside me.

It was drizzling that day, I was waiting under the bridge on my bike, scrolling my phone screen analyzing the route on Google Maps, It showed the remaining distance as 500 meters. As the rain stopped I started and soon reached my destination 'Script Culture Institute'. I went inside, the receptionist greeted me with smile and told me that my class was going to start within 5 minutes. I was nervous and excited at the same time, but most of all I was happy as I was following my passion. Movie stories always fascinated me and here I was waiting to learn and write one of my own. My phone rang, it was a notification to accept UBER EATS order, I forgot to switch off my UBER EATS app, I rejected the same and sat next to a lean guy who was also waiting for the class to start.

We Shook hands his name was MAHADEV and as we started talking I was so much impressed by MAHADEV. A guy from small village, the only earning member of family, working for UBER EATS and side by side pursuing his passion, I was really inspired by MAHADEV.

As I sat beside the lean guy, we started talking his name was ANUBHAV. I was really inspired to see how passionate he was about scriptwriting, though he had a financially strong background, a job that paid very well but still all he wanted with life was to become a screenwriter.

For the next 3 months both of us learned all the nooks and corners of screenwriting starting from story structure to character arc and many other things. it felt really nice to write my name on my first screenplay, it read as 'Missing by ANUBHAV SAXENA'

For the next 3 months we had a vigorous training with Sam sir, he taught us a lot of things like 3-ACT structure, Outline of a script etc. I was really overwhelmed to see my name on my first screenplay 'Dharavi by MAHADEV SINHA'

After finishing our training we went to our separate ways, without any contact for 6 months.

I was so depressed that afternoon, I went to a production company to meet a script agent and got rejected from there, this was my 6th rejection in 6 months. After coming back, reluctantly I ordered Veg roll from UBER EATS. When I went to collect my order I was shocked to see MAHADEV was my delivery guy. I asked him about his progress in writing to which he told that he gave up 4 months back as he was getting rejected from every production house. As he left I thought that this might not work for me also and that day I also gave up on my dream of becoming a script writer.

After the classes got over I tried meeting production companies but got rejected from everywhere, within 2 months I lost all my confidence and decided to quit. After that I started my normal routine. It was one monotonous afternoon, my phone rang it was UBER EATS notification, I accepted the order. As I was standing outside the house waiting for the customer to collect his order and was taken by surprise to see that it was ANUBHAV. We talked and he told me that the same morning he got rejected by a production company. I was really inspired by his attitude towards his passion that even after rejections he was standing strong, trying to make his mark in film industry. I went home and that day I decided that even if I get rejected from thousands of such production companies, I will never ever give up on my dreams.
